The property

Nestled in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park, Draig Bach is a charming end-terrace cottage situated in the heart of the small, attractive village of Penmachno.

Immersed by scenic walking and cycling opportunities, this is a lovely retreat for couples looking to get away from normal life.

Step into the open-plan living space and relax on the plush seating in front of the TV, whilst the woodburning stove offers a gentle warmth – the ultimate way to end a day of exploration.

Climb the stairs to reach the bedroom, housing a double bed with vaulted ceiling with skylight, adding a little touch of character to the property.

The welcoming village of Penmachno offers a pub and a shop, both less than a 2 minute walk and catering to all your needs, whilst a greater selection of amenities and attractions can be found five miles away in the picturesque Betws-y-Coed, including the Zip World Fforest and Bounce Below Trampoline Park, just to name a few.

Snowdonia is a real haven for outdoor enthusiasts, with superb opportunities for walking, cycling, and climbing to name a few, with amazing family-friendly attractions including the Llechwedd Slate Caverns, Gwydyr Forest Park and the Penmachno Biking Trails.

Hop on board the Ffestiniog Mountain Railway for a wonderful experience along 13 miles of glorious views, over to the fascinating harbour town of Porthmadog, a major hub with a range of shops and attractions.

Alternatively, head over to the Italianate style village of Portmeirion and see the unique architecture, woodland gardens and sandy beaches.

With so many great attractions within easy reach, Draig Bach makes a lovely base for experiencing the wonders of Snowdonia!

Betws-y-Coed 4 miles.

The small, peaceful village of Penmachno is situated in the beautiful Machno Valley, just 4 miles from the popular town of Betws-y-Coed. Surrounded by woodland, magnificent mountains and flowing rivers, the whole area is a haven for walkers, birdwatchers, mountain bikers and climbers, whilst Betws-y-Coed itself offers a good range of shops, pubs and cafes. Here the River Conwy meets its three tributaries, creating a host of cascading waterfalls, river pools and ancient bridges throughout the surrounding countryside, the most famous of which is the magnificent waterfall at Swallow Falls, situated where the River Llugwy meets with a spectacular chasm, creating a sight not to be missed! The beautiful Conwy Falls are also well worth a visit and are situated in the Machno Valley. With all of Snowdonia to explore and North Wales' Heritage Coastlines also within easy reach, this beautiful location has plenty to offer at any time of year.
