  • "This was our third stay at this lovely cottage."

Andy and Susie were welcoming and friendly. The cottage was as described and we love it there. Unfortunately there was a major drawback for this stay as we have recently bought a fully electric car. We had hoped that we would be able to come to a pre payed arrangement with the host about topping up the vehicle charge with our domestic plugin EV charger. Apparently there is a Sykes Cottages policy which warns hosts against this. Anyone who owns an electric vehicle will recognise the associated "charge anxiety" which comes with ownership. In fact there was an available public charger within a few miles where at 5:00am one morning we were able to top up the car charge sufficiently to do limited exploration of the area and get us home. The top up charge cost was about £5 and would have been about £3.50 using a plug-in domestic chargers at domestic peak rates. I would urge Sykes to review their policy as, in future, we can only book holidays from the increasing number of holiday let providers who provide provision for EV charging. I would suggest offering an optional £10/day EV charging option as this would more than cover the cost for a family sized EV

From first entering the cottage you feel at home. It’s very clean and welcoming, with a nice treat waiting for our little staffy and our favourite Welsh cakes waiting for me and my wife. What a lovely gesture from the owners. It is a hidden gem,in a great position, a couple of minutes walk from the main street with all the shops you will need and Llandudno’s beautiful promenade. • "Had a great week here at the end of July in a very busy Llandudno."

. the cottage is in a great location and just 2 mins walk from various restaurants, cafe bars, pubs, the Orme, prom and shops.. the cottage itself is very nice, the kitchen had everything you need barring a washing machine, a comfortable lounge with Smart TV, spacious bedroom with walk in wardrobe and plenty of storage and ample sized bathroom with a good shower. Car parking for one was useful and the back yard good enough to sit in and have a coffee or wine and to let our pooch out each morning / night.. on the whole a very peaceful location too but obviously Llandudno is busy this summer so you get a few people going past now and then to walk up to the Orme tram station which is a couple of streets up (and next to a great chippy).. great week and I’m sure we’ll be back.

It is just a 5 minute walk from the beach, pier, shops, and the Tram stop for the Great Orme. Within 5 - 10 minutes walk are the beautiful Haulfre Gardens and the delightful Happy Valley. We only used our car once during our stay to visit Conway and Llanfairfechan as there were plenty of lovely walks in and around Ty Cornel Bach to explore. Handy Sainsbury's supermarket nearby as well as plenty of pubs and cafes. In spite of this the cottage is in a quiet street with little traffic so no noise problems in spite of its closeness to amenities. Small outdoor space but catches the afternoon sun so nice to sit and have a drink after a long walk! Owners in contact by text to ensure everything was okay for us. Delightful place which we will definitely visit again.

This cottage has been the best so far. Lovely welcome from the friendly owners when I arrived a little early. Totally warm, cosy and comfortable little week in late November. As it happened the weather was glorious, sunshine every day and not a drop of rain, but even if it had rained every day I should have enjoyed relaxing in the home like cottage. It is warm and cosy and surprisingly spacious for what looks such a small house amidst the skyscrapers towering alongside! However, forget parking anything larger than a Suzuki Ignis in the allocated parking bay, you will have to find on-street parking, which is not always easy and a real pain if you have many bags to carry. Internet speed is unbelievably slow, given the position of the cottage within a town, and the TV channels do not always function. Take care not to stub your toes on the bed legs as you pass by, you have been warned! A curtain is needed to go over the back of the front door, as you step straight from the street into the living room. These criticisms are fairly minor. Despite its position, the cottage is in a quiet location and it is very clean.

It was wonderfully clean and the owners went out of their way with the welcoming. In fact apart from food there was nothing we needed, tea, sugar, coffee etc plus welcoming welsh cakes were already provided, even the washing up liquid. They really put out the welcoming mat.Llandudno itself,we found to be expensive, especially for eating out,but that is a personal opinion.Going back to Ty Cornel Bach,I would thoroughly recommend it to anybody.

Once inside we found that everything was as detailed in the information about this “Little Corner House” plus more. A lovely welcome pack provided so we could have a drink and a snack after our journey. All essentials for a problem free holiday were in the cottage including a towel and dish for our pet spaniel. If this is the norm for all Sykes properties we will not hesitate to consider Sykes for future holidays

The bathroom was very modern with a large shower cubicle. The tv was a smart tv with built in dvd player which wasn't mentioned in the description of the cottage, if we had known this we would have brought some DVDs with us. The WiFi was excellent. A lot of thought has been put into this conversion. It’s ideally located for exploring Llandudno in a quiet residential street under the Great Orme just minutes from the shops, pubs, restaurants and the main beach. It was a real bonus to have parking at the property as that would probably be difficult in the town.

For the best views, however, you can reach the summit of the 679ft Great Orme using either the Great Orme Tramway or by taking an exciting cable car ride of over a mile. The town has an excellent selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés, as well as Venue Cymru, which is North Wales' premier theatrical stage for opera, ballet, musicals, comedy and visiting orchestras, boasting a programme that is second to none - all this is just a stone's throw from the promenade.
