The property

A stylish, modern brick-built cottage set alongside the owner's home, opposite the parish church of St Thomas, on the edge of the attractive village of Penycae, in North Wales.

This well-presented holiday property offers luxury accommodation and quality furnishings, and from the minute you walk through the wide stable door, you're sure to feel at home.

Enter into the spacious open plan kitchen with its high gable ceiling adorned with oak A-frame beams.

The welcoming dining table offers the perfect place to relax with friends and family over dinner, and a comfy seating area with wall-mounted TV creates a sociable hub for the cottage.

Through the hall, the sitting room is modern and stylish, with a warming woodburner to settle beside after a long day exploring the stunning surrounding scenery.

Douglas Cottage offers three bedrooms, which include a ground floor double set next to the family bathroom, with two further first floor bedrooms, each with en-suites, one furnished with three single beds, ideal for little ones, and the other the master bedroom with king-size bed.

Outside, the spacious lawn is bordered by trees and hedges to offer privacy, and the south-facing patio area benefits from the sun's rays long into the evening.

The village of Penycae offers two good pubs, the nearest being less than 10 minutes' stroll away, whilst the ever-popular shops, restaurants and wine bars of Llangollen can all be enjoyed in under 15 minutes' drive.

The village is located between Offa's Dyke and Wat's Dyke Way, two popular walking trails, both accessible by a country footpath from the village.
