  • "The property was exceptionally dusty and full of cobwebs."

This created a big problem for my Son who has a dust allergy. I spent the first few hours danp dusting! It is very run down and needs a re vamp. The beds were awful and the bedding smelt damp. The feature of the property were the front windows which were very dirty. I thought it was very expensive for the quality of accommodation. The actual park and setting of the accommodation was very good However, I am sure, I could have got a caravan of higher quality for cheaper as on top of the rental price we paid £300 + for passes. Overall a not a great experience

  • "The existing reviews on Sykes website do not do this property justice."

We have stayed in many lodges in the UK and this is probably our favourite. Everything about it was perfect for our family of 4, including the WiFi, which was pleasantly reliable. A lovely little property on a great site in a beautiful part of the world. I really hope we will be able to return. My only gripe was, prior to travelling, we had a total mare trying to book the playpass. Honestly, this was a total joke and cost me half a day of ringing Sykes Customer Services and Hafan Y Mor site. This should be a far more straightforward process and needs sorting as it must happen with most families who book the lodge. However, on the whole, so so pleased with the overall experience. An amazing holiday!!!

  • "This may have been a privately owned property, but it was very dirty dust and cobwebs everywhere, so whoever does the cleaning needs sacking."

fridge kept falling open , and holes in curtains , no info on facilities pack . Definitely not value for money on a 2 night break . Double bed is a camp bed and very uncomfortable. Really not a cared for property.

  • "Thank you for such a lovely stay we had a fabulous time."

Your cabin was very comfortable and cozy and equipped with everything we needed. We would definitely stay again. The only issue was connection to the wifi, even the Haven one or to our own data which seemed to be little to no signal. But this seemed to be an issue for others on the same site too. If you could offer a wifi that would be great or a TV which is equipped with netflicks or BBC iPlayer etc so we can sign in ourselves that would be an extra bonus. Fabulous location in Snowdonia view though. Highly recommend staying here. Thanks again.

  • "Party of six, four adults and two children."

The weather, the scenery and fabulous beaches were the shining stars during our one week stay and the Haven staff kept the outdoor areas well tended. The property was an adequate size for our party of six. It is obvious from the photo's that it isn't spacious, so no complaints there. Larger than a caravan, smaller than most houses. The interior of the property was very clean. Kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, glassware aplenty - although a decent quality sharp knife - for those who love to cook - would by a great addition! Slicing an onion (sliding off an onion) was a long winded, tearful endeavour! The double bed was very comfortable, as were two of the four singles (the remaining two were, in our opinion, overly firm but they were being used by adults.) The sofas were comfortable but old and quite badly stained - though they did have throws to hide the worst. The addition of a table lamp in the lounge would be nice. The powerful ceiling lights were not conducive to an evening of relaxation. We borrowed one from a bedroom. Bathroom OK; Mira shower in a small cubicle but we weren't swinging any cats! Light sleepers should take earplugs. It's a bit creaky in there, particularly for those in the double bedroom below + the doors were all squeaky but I oiled the hinges - no charge :-) Decking area was a bit disappointing. The cushions for the outdoor furniture that were said to be stored behind the sofa in the lounge weren't there. We had to sweep masses of cobwebs for the railings. We noticed that the decking areas of identical properties nearby were cleaner and had pots of plants (albeit some were plastic) that made for a much more welcoming and pleasant exterior. Little touches can make a huge difference. We felt that the property needed a bit of TLC (a bit tired) but no major complaints. The niggles could easily be addressed without huge expenditure. It's also worth mentioning that we struggled to receive a reply from a pre holiday query we had. We were informed by Sykes that the owner had chosen the option of being uncontactable (by guests.) Our query was fielded by Sykes who, after two calls from us, contacted the owner who's answer was relayed back to us via Sykes. A rather long winded and frustrating process. Finally, as holiday property owners ourselves, we feel that our review is thorough, constructive, balanced and fair. Owners take note - it would be relatively cheap and easy to add those little touches and upgrade your property to 5 star status. On that basis, I would have no hesitation in recommending it to strangers and friend alike. Thank you.

  • "We had a lovely stay at hafan y mor."

I dont think the lodge is big enough for 4 adults and 2 kids though. Not enough room in living area and only 1 bathroom. Lodge needs updating, new windows as you can hear the wind coming through. We did enjoy it anyway just think it really needs a lick of paint
