  • "A lovely cottage and great location."

We had a good stay but the late check in (5pm) and early check out (9am) feel unnecessary now, especially as you’re asked to strip beds, put all washing up away, all a bit of a rush! A well stocked kitchen in terms of pots and pans but no basics like salt and pepper or oil so you need to bring everything. No matches for the fire or logs either. Bringing towels also seemed a bit excessive. A good house but a bit more love for the customer would make it a great house.

  • "Really nice house with plenty of space, well presented with everything you need (even a tall fridge freezer), well supplied (except for a rubbish tin opener!"

!). Great that is was a no pets place for me as an allergy sufferer. Plus there were no air fresheners which was a real boon for a asthmatic too. Loved the location, really easy to get into Beddgelert from and lovely area.

Not very convenient when you choose this location for all the hikes around and you wants to have your hiking clothes dry and clean.

  • "Lovely cottage."

Plenty of space and very comfortable. Everything worked well. Parking isn’t an issue - one behind, and had no difficulty parking opposite. Beddgelert has good places to eat within easy walking. Beautiful walks from the cottage or within a short drive. Couple of things you might need to take account of - two of the twin beds are fairly narrow, they do do bed linen, but you’ve got to ask. They will provide a towel in the downstairs loo, but you need to bring your own towels. Tee towels provided and detergent. If you want to use the dishwasher every day, you will need to bring some tablets. Only 4 there. These are minor though.

  • "We had a wonderful stay at "Gwndy Bach" very spacious, spotlessly clean, comfortable, all amenities were great, the superb large kitchen was great with everything you need & excellent instructions for all appliances, only one little suggestion though, we brought some lovely Welsh butter which we wanted to keep out of the fridge but there was no butter dish & also no pizza baking tray other than that it was perfect."

The cottage/house is so perfectly located for walking straight out to the beautiful village, the village store & various shops, the car parking at the back is perfect too & lots of information about the village etc in the Welcome folder was great. We didn't use the log burner mainly because the weather was so mild & the central heating was more than sufficient, but we did notice that only one small log was there, there were no matches or kindling so we couldn't have used it without going out to buy these things, it didn't dampen our holiday though. The only other suggestions we have is maybe a little stool in the beautiful ensuite bathroom for those who are not blessed with being tall, as I couldn't reach to open the window & maybe a dressing table in the main bedroom or any bedroom as there was no where to sit & use straighteners, to do hair etc. We had a relaxing holiday & would thoroughly recommend "Gwndy Bach" to others & the village of Beddgelert is charming.

  • "We had a really lovely stay at Gwyndy Bach and found the property modern, clean & spacious which was perfect for us as we were having a large family gathering which included our adult children and the grandparents so the cottage needed to be suitable for all ages."

The downstairs was very roomy with a fabulous kitchen breakfast room which accommodated everyone perfectly and had amazing facilities for cooking and seating. The lounge was also large and comfortable with everything you needed. Upstairs the bedrooms also worked well for us with the large modern shower room being ideal for the elders and the room with en-suite also suiting out purposes. We did feel however that the bedrooms were a little lacking in shelves or chests of drawers which made it difficult to know where to put things other than on the floor. One drawback for us was the non-provision of bedding & towels as we had never come across this before in a holiday cottage such as this, maybe now Covid is not such an issue this will be something the owners could re-look at for the future. Our son lives in the village so we are regular visitors to Beddgelert. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely look to re-book this cottage in the future.

  • "Lovely property - really enjoyed our stay."

Lots of space & bathroo.s are really handy. Struggled to dry our gear after swimming so would have loved the addition of a tumble dryer or hanging space/ventilation in the boiler rooms. Wasn't sure whether there were quilts & pillows supplied - description Wasn't clear so that could be more specific just to help with packing. Also think the description should explain that parking is £5 per 24 hours for additional cars, if travelling with a group this could be very expensive over a week. Would also love to be able to sit out at the front on a nice day. The late check in (5pm) & early check out (9am) are quite unusual so would also recommend that is changed - 2-3pm & 11am are quite normal. Generally though a really nice stay & base for lots of activity.

A beautiful, spacious house in a stunning little village of Beddgelert. Our only criticism would be that the house needs a little TLC but we understand this is in the process of being done soon. We must say a huge thank you to Chris and Mandy (housekeepers) for being so kind to us on departure day due to our car breaking down. Their hospitality was second to none!

TV is nice and big too, with Netflix available. Fire place works well so does the heating and hot water. Can't complain about cleanliness inside. On the outside however the main window would need a regular wash so you can actually enjoy the view of the river. Altogether beautiful place and an attractive, well located lodge.

It was warm, clean and tidy and the WiFi was great. I’m sure when Covid measures are relaxed entirely it will be even better - travelling with towels, bed linen and kit for six fir a long weekend is rather off putting. And as we had a particularly wet day the provision of some board games and logs for the fire would when allowed be very welcome.

A very spacious, comfortable, immaculate property, in a superb central location for easy access to village amenities, cycle hire and mountain walks. No outside space, but we did not miss this as the surrounding area is so glorious. Only area for improvement - as mentioned in other reviews, the showerhead in the main bathroom needs to be very carefully positioned, otherwise it leaks a lot all over the bathroom floor.

On the only rainy day the gutters leaked all around the property, particularly over the key safe. The down pipes need attention and the drains need clearing. The garden at the front of the property needs maintenance, weeds removed all round and the shrubs at the front reducing in width, we know this acts as a screen from the road but it is all but touching the kitchen window. 6ft from original bush. Also the path could be cleared to make the front of the property more attractive. Finally if there is any recycling left by previous tenant, despite being 'more than we've had before' shouldn't this be removed. And the property could do with more china, mugs etc. As one set is in the dishwasher what do you drink your tea from?

  • "We loved our stay at Gwyndy Bach."

The kitchen-dining area was great to hang out in and we spent most of our time at the cottage there. The bedrooms were big, especially the master bedroom. Admittedly, we were only a family of 4 in a cottage for 6, but even with two additional people I am sure it would have felt the same. Beddgelert is a beautiful village in a great location and served as a fabulous base for the day trips we made. The village itself has a small shop where you can get the essentials and an ice cream parlour where we stopped by more than once. The cottage is very central, next to The Saracen's Head, but there was no noise issue at night when we stayed during the summer holidays. Beware that there is no O2 signal in the village, but the wifi at the cottage was all we needed to be able to plan our outings.
