  • "The Dairy is an absolutely amazing property with loads of amazing facilities and a location to be envious of."

The property itself is so cosy, and the location is great for any Tourist attractions like the Zoo and Chester itself. Rachel and Matt were both very friendly and have both spoken to ourselves to ensure we had the best experience whilst at The Dairy. The hot tub is a great addition, and as the cottages are in the Countryside, you really can just relax and immerse yourself in the stars above, with little noise around. We also both loved Channel 800 and enjoyed watching the Alpacas and Owl visiting!

  • "We had such a lovely week staying at The Dairy."

It was spotlessly clean and had all the home comforts you could want plus little touches like washing up liquid and salt and pepper, which were really helpful. The hot tub was wonderful, so nice to sit and gaze up at the stars in the evening after a day of exploring the area. The property is in a lovely rural location, but only a few minutes drive and you can get to Cheshire Oaks for shopping, eating out & the cinema. The owl/ alpaca cam on the tv was a great touch, we loved watching the birds feeding in the mornings. A fantastic property, we would definitely recommend to others.

  • "Matt was very understanding about our unsureness about whether to visit the property because of the issue with the petrol problem but he assured us we wouldn't have a problem and thankfully we didn't."

We appreciated a very nice welcome pack. The Dairy was very clean and we didn't have any issues with the property itself but we did find the parking a bit tight. You certainly needed to reverse in. Maybe a casserole dish would be useful. The location was very convenient for Chester, Liverpool & North Wales. It was just unfortunate the weather wasn't brilliant.

  • "Lovely, clean and well maintained cottage."

Had a fantastic stay and wouldn't hesitate in recommended the cottages to friends and family. Friendly owners on hand if needed. Peaceful and quiet location but very close to local amenities and attractions. Some lovely pubs nearby.

  • "The accommodation was very clean and comfortable but there are a couple of points I would like to make."

The kitchen had a fridge but no cupboard to store food you didn't want in the fridge or out in the open. For me personally and possibly other older people I found the settee very low and was unable to get up from it meaning I had to sit on a hard dining chair all the time. A slightly higher easy chair would be appreciated if only in one accommodation.

  • "We really loved our stay!"

It was in the perfect location being so close to the city centre as well as other attractions. The recommendations in the book provided were brilliant and we particularly loved the owl cam (even though they weren’t nesting at the time) we thought this was such a lovely touch!

  • "Great place to stay."

Very clean good location for access to Chester. Great shopping at Cheshire Oaks-15 minutes drive away. Book on local area and activities available provided by owners very helpful. Written instructions on how to use cooking appliances good. Have stayed other cottages where this was not available. Electricity went off one day Matt responded straightaway and fixed. Hot tub- fabulous immaculately clean and checked daily for bacteria/water quality. King size bed that converts to singles added bonus as allowed my friends to visit and stay overnight without extra charges. Pre- arranged with owners. Only one negative if u want to cook and eat in a serving dish, pyrex basin, and salad bowl would be handy. For real coffee drinkers like myself-there was no caffettiere. However l always bring my own. Overall a great place to stay, would certainly go back and highly recommend.

The hot tub was very relaxing after busy days. Although out in the country it was only ten minutes from the park and ride and main Chester railway station.will certainly stay at the Dairy again.

  • "The whole accommodation was amazing."

They have everything down to a T & the location is perfect as well. It was so clean & quiet which is exactly what you want when you come away to relax. The only recommendation I have is that it would be good to have a cover/canopy over the hot tub as it’s weather permitting at the moment, and we’d have probably used it twice as much if it didn’t rain so much!! Will definitely return.

Small details had been considered like providing washing up liquid, cling film, kitchen foil, etc. The hot tub was maintained daily and we really made the most out of it. Would absolutely stay again and bring the kids next time. Would recommend to anyone, exceptional venue.

  • "The cottage was absolutely stunning and very comfortable."

It was well equiped with everything you could possibly need for your stay. The welcome folder had lots of useful information about Chester and things to do in the local area. We really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub which was ready to use as soon as we arrived. We will definitely stay again. There were lots of little touches which made our stay even more special like a bottle of prosecco, pot of local honey and some mince pies which were delicious.

  • "The Dairy was such a fabulous cottage and was everything we could have asked for."

It’s location is great to get to all the Chester/Cheshire attractions and the cottage itself is beautiful! Really modern but still with original beams and features is a great combination, and the extra touches that Matt and Rachel leave for guests really does exceed expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Dairy and would love to book there again in the future! Thank you Matt and Rachel.

  • "Wonderful location, property was clean and beautifully presented, the little touches like the milk and water in the fridge made a real difference."

All together a wonderful holiday which we enjoyed so much we’re already thinking about booking again in the spring. My only gripes are the steps into the hot tub made it difficult to get in and out, they could do with being smaller and more of them, and the sofa in the living area could be a bit bigger!

The owners left all the basics you would need for a stay including biscuits, water, milk and tea bags. A bottle of fizz in the fridge was a nice surprise too. Hot tub was easy to use although our only suggestion would be a light a bit closer to the actual hot tub as it was dark when we used it for the first time and maybe a couple of hooks to hang robes on. Comfy beds and amazing shower!

Loved everything about it. The location, atmosphere, place, amenities especially the private hot tub! I would 100% recommend for a couple looking for a getaway. Everything was a smooth transition in terms of getting there to retrieving the keys and even leaving. Amazing and would definitely go again. This was an alternative as our holiday abroad got canceled due to the pandemic and it was perfect. There was great things to do close by too. We visited Chester Zoo, the designer outlet and also did a day trip to Liverpool!

CHESTER

Liverpool 17 miles; Manchester 36 miles.

Chester has quite rightly been described as 'the jewel of the North-West of England'. Perhaps the most fascinating aspect of the city is that within a very small area there is evidence of every period of history - from the old walls and amphitheatre of Roman times, through medieval churches, Elizabethan timber-framed townhouses and Georgian terraces, to Victorian restorations and 21st century architecture. The city has much to offer the tourist, including excellent shopping in and around the famous Tudor 'Rows' and lovely walks along the Roman Walls, beside the River Dee and through the picturesque Grosvenor Park. Explore Chester's beautiful medieval cathedral, visit Chester Racecourse or spend a day at the world renowned Chester Zoo. Further afield, the stunning Welsh mountains and coastline, the quaint market towns and villages of Cheshire and the Wirral Peninsula with its first class golf courses, are all within easy touring distance, whilst frequent rail services make Liverpool, Manchester and the North Wales coast readily accessible.
