  • "The cottage is in a perfect location, close enough to everything but also just out of the centre so it was quiet and peaceful."

The cottage and grounds were beautiful and spotlessly clean and the furnishings and decor were expensive and looked really nice. Lots of space with two bathrooms and large comfortable beds. And we loved the finishing touches like the milk that was left for when we arrived and the basket of biscuits and tea and coffee etc. The cottage had everything we needed and more. We will recommend to friends and family and also return ourselves. Its our new favourite holiday location and it was a lovely break, thank you

  • "What a beautiful property!"

It is clear the owners have worked hard to ensure every comfort is accommodated - clean, tastefully decorated with comfortable beds and great facilities. Lovely personal touches too in the welcome pack, fresh towels and toys/games/DVDs left for our enjoyment. The location was perfect - away from the hustle and bustle but only a couple of miles away from everything that Chester has to offer. Would definitely recommend and hope to return next year :)

Loads of useful information provided about local amenities and attractions. We felt very welcome and would certainly book again if we were going to be in the area.

  • "Really enjoyed the the cottage, every thing you need for a self catering."

Only downside (minor) from my point of view is the heating rails in the bathroom are operated on a push button so save power (fab idea) but the light projected off the switch is very bright in a very dark room. I’m a little bit of a lighter sleeper and need darkness to sleep, I can’t say it kept me up but I was very aware of it when I went to sleep. The cottage itself is fab, positioned well to all the resorts we wanted to visit and area itself was fab.

  • "Lovely accommodating cottage, comfortable, decorated to a high quality and spotless!"

Very quiet and peaceful, we enjoyed the orchard in the evenings and watching the bird cams. The cottage was very well equipped with everything that we needed and we enjoyed the little extra touches e.g. bottle of Prosecco, tea and biscuits. The location was perfect for us for the week. Can’t fault this cottage, definitely recommend.

Booked this last minute and we were so pleased we did! The cottage was clean and spacious and there was a lovely welcome basket with biscuits, jam etc. when we arrived. The cottage is very well presented and perfectly located for trips to the zoo, designer outlet and further afield. Great facilities for self catering and there are some lovely pubs and restaurants nearby. Would definitely return again in the future!

  • "I don't even know where to start with this beautiful place!"

As soon as we pulled up onto the drive, we both said 'wow' at the same time! 4 beautiful barn conversions, done to perfection. We stayed in the parlour, but each has its own cute name and 2 have hot tubs. The decor is stunning, I was a bit obsessed with the lighting! And now have to find the same lamps ha ha! The beds are so comfortable, it was a struggle to get out of them in the morning! My biggest worry when staying places is cleanliness. My goodness!!!! Clean clean clean!!!!! Not a spec of dust in sight! It's only a short drive to Cheshire oaks and Chester zoo, which is fab! We will be taking the whole family too :). I don't think I can recommend this property enough. And the couple that own them are lovely people. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! We will see you next year with the rest of the family :) X X X

  • "This cottage exceeded our expectations and then some."

We have stayed in a number of properties at home and abroad and this ranks with the very best in terms of finish, facilities, furnishings (the beds are so comfy), peacefulness - well just about everything you could rank it on. We arrived in the dark but the instructions were spot on and we found the location no problem. Parking was nice and close to the front door to allow us to unload easily with no steps to climb. The cottage itself was lovely and warm - underfloor heating in all rooms - with a range of items left for us (milk, teabags, jams etc). The controls on all of the appliances are intuitive and easy to use. Towels, linen and toiletries were all laid out nicely and all very good quality. All in all, I would highly recommend this property and the location without reservation.

About the location

CHESTER

Liverpool 17 miles; Manchester 36 miles.

Chester has quite rightly been described as 'the jewel of the North-West of England'. Perhaps the most fascinating aspect of the city is that within a very small area there is evidence of every period of history - from the old walls and amphitheatre of Roman times, through medieval churches, Elizabethan timber-framed townhouses and Georgian terraces, to Victorian restorations and 21st century architecture. The city has much to offer the tourist, including excellent shopping in and around the famous Tudor 'Rows' and lovely walks along the Roman Walls, beside the River Dee and through the picturesque Grosvenor Park. Explore Chester's beautiful medieval cathedral, visit Chester Racecourse or spend a day at the world renowned Chester Zoo. Further afield, the stunning Welsh mountains and coastline, the quaint market towns and villages of Cheshire and the Wirral Peninsula with its first class golf courses, are all within easy touring distance, whilst frequent rail services make Liverpool, Manchester and the North Wales coast readily accessible.
