  • "The cottage was beautiful, very clean, comfortable and so well equipped with good quality furnishings."

We arrived to a very welcoming afternoon tea, and the owner, Nesta was helpful , and made sure through out our stay that, we were warm enough, and should we have any issues, that she was available at all times. The area is great for walks and cycling. We will definitely go back to Y Deri . The hot tub was great too, with lovely views !

  • "Everything about Y Deri was exactly what we needed for a week in North Wales."

Far enough away from civilisation for peace and quiet, but everything we needed was within a 30 min (or so) drive. The house is comfortable, well finished, stocked with everything you need, and beautifully clean. We didn't use the hot tub, but the view out to the sea from here/the outdoor seating area was lovely, especially on the sunny evenings with nice sunsets. And finally Nesta the owner was friendly and very welcoming, and gave us some useful info on the area to add to our itinerary for our stay.

  • "We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Y Deri cottage."

The green fields to the front and the sea view at the rear were beautiful to look at. Our host, Nesta, was most welcoming. As it was dark when we arrived she had put the light on outside the property for us - most considerate. The property was warm, clean, welcoming and cosy on first impression on entering and remained so throughout our stay. We even got to see the horses, a thrilling experience. Nesta was very attentive. She was available at the end of the phone and helpful with her suggestions. She could not do enough for us and was very friendly. The cream tea on arrival was most generous, tasty and welcoming. We felt relaxed and would definitely stay there again. Thank you Nesta.

  • "The cottage is a little of the beaten track up quite a bumpy farm road, however, this is made clear in the directions."

Tesco delivery found us easily enough. The cottage is extremely clean & homely with everything you need ic dishwasher tabs/cloths/scourers/tea bags/ sugar/ cofffee/washing up liquid; even fresh flowers, a bottle of prosecco & a pint of milk left for us. I'd say the only things we could've done with are a veg/potato peeler, kitchen roll, baking foil & some hooks on the backs of doors (there's nowhere to hang your coats/waterproofs/fleeces). The cottage is well placed for exploring the Llynn Penninula, everything is a drive away though, the nearest beach (around a 20 minute walk away) is pebble with rough choppy sea. The nearest shops/takeaways ic chippy/chinese & Indian are around 3-4 miles away. Didn't find the pub, again around 3-4 miles away I think so consider a food/drink delivery, it was well worth it. Nesta & her husband are great hosts, friendly & helpful. The hot tub is spotless (water changed & cleaned after each guest stay) try it in darkness with the coloured lights while looking at the stars, bliss. All in all, a great break, would definitely recommend!

  • "It would help if there was a book at the property, telling about the locality, including eating places in the locality, and good places to visit."

The scenery was fantastic, and it would have helped if we had known where the best places to go. Nesta was very helpful, but it helps if, as in other properties we have visited with other companies, we could have sat down in the evenings to browse through a guest book. It would have helped, also, if there had been a sun umbrella, so that we could have sat outside more. The location is ideal for exploring the Llyn Peninsula, and Anglesey, as well as Snowdonia National Park, with loads of great walks. Just suggestions to make the cottage even more desirable!
