• "The house was spacious however end of december no heating we called the caretaker he came and managed to turn it on for 2 hours however it was very light and stopped working after a while , there was no hot water which ruined our stay , it was freezing cold and we took 4 infants with us ."

  In regarts to the heating I wouldn’t recommend maybe in summer it would be nice place . Location was nice .

• "Cottage was lovely and it had been decorated nice and christmassy but we were without hot water and heating for 2 days which put a downer on our stay contacted owner got no reply he finally called me back on the second night and said try doing this and that but still didn't work we spent a fortune on logs for the fire to try and keep warm also one of the t."

• "There was plenty of room for our party of 6 adults, 3 children and the dogs."

  However we did experience a few issues, mainly with 3 leaks. 2 from the roof and the most awkward being one of the bathrooms. Water was dripping into the small lounge from the shower. We informed the owner, who to be fair sent someone the same day. Unfortunately the bathroom was un-useable due to the leak and spongey floor! The lack of maintenance and care of this property is evident, which is such a shame as the space both inside and out is fantastic. I'm not sure how long the present owner has had the cottage, so maybe he was unaware of some of the issues.

• "We all loved Glasfryn Fawr ,it was such a lovely old property and the garden was a great solace to our family who each had huge benefit from its views , peace and tranquility."

  We appreciated the log burner,the books and the piano—— a real home from home. The owner of the property quickly responded to the problem we had with the heating,broken window (our fault) and fridge freezer (we’d accidentally turned it off! ). I would add that the property might not suit a family who doesn’t realise that ancient buildings are impossible to keep squeaky clean and spiderweb free but Glasfryn Fawr was just prefect for us.

• "A lovely stay over Christmas!"

  The farmhouse is very spacious, and had everything we needed. Very comfortable. The views are stunning! Had an issue trying to get the heating on the first day, but the owner came out and managed to sort it quickly for us. I would definitely like to return

• "I loved the cottage, but it was in need of more attention when cleaning."

  There were a lot of cobwebs and spiders ( which my daughter had trouble with as she is terrified by them) I understand that due to it's location these things are to be accepted. I would consider staying again.

• "Absolutely beautiful house and gardens."

  We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the space and fresh air. Views were amazing. Welcome pack of coffee, tea, milk, jam and biscuits were appreciated. This did not effect our stay but may future guests that may have to work whilst away there is not currently Wi-Fi to the property even though it is listed as having it, however there is good 4G coverage and the owners are trying hard to get Wi-Fi connected. We would definitely recommend this property. We were a family of 2 Adults and 4 Children .

• "We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay."

  The lack of central heating on the first day was very quickly rectified with a telephone call to the very pleasant and helpful owner the following morning, who quickly told me how to rectify the problem. The biggest disappointment was the lack of WiFi despite the website (both Sykes and Menai Holidays) stating that the property had this. It only has 4g, which did not work on my mother's brand new iPad. I was able to use my phone but it quickly uses an excessive amount of data so I had to be very strict with its usage. I always choose holiday properties which state that WiFi is available specifically for my mother. Although we loved the property, we would not have booked it if we had known there was no WiFi. The information pages provided by the property clearly state that WiFi is not available.

• "Lovely atmosphere at Glasfryn, a wonderful old house, as soon as we walked in, cosy and comfy and welcoming, we had a lovely chilled out week, although we are only from Mid Wales, totally different Wales to explore here, lovely, we will come back again."

• "We loved the holiday cottage and the welcome pack of groceries was a lovely touch."

  The location, house and garden were lovely and just what we wanted. We thought it was reasonably priced for the size and location. The beds were really comfy and we all slept well. The house as a whole was very well equipped. The only negatives I would say (and they're only minor things) would be: the flushes on the two toilets upstairs were very temperamental and sometimes wouldn't flush at all, and finally there were lots of cobwebs that had obviously been there for a long while, particularly around the kitchen window.
