  • "Yhe coach house is a lovely home but you can only access one bedroom by going through the main bedroom which was not convenient for us."

This should be on the listing. Also in the description it says all king unless requesting twin 3 of our rooms were set up as twin. MORE someone should call the guests before their stay to find out what they would like. We didn't request them to be changed as in one of the rooms the beds were different heights. So no point. The sharp knifes were very blunt and one is bent. We had to sharpen them the best we could. We would like to say thank you to the owner who replaced the broken microwave on the same day. We had a lovely stay and a fantastic Christmas. Thank you to the owner and his team. the house is not far from any amenities just 10 minute drive to the closest shops. I would stay again but think a few adjustments within the home and description are needed.

  • "Beautiful scenery, setting and surroundings."

That is the 2nd year in a row we have stayed at the Coach House. It is comfortable, relaxed and welcoming. We noticed a freshly decorated kitchen as well! Not a complaint.....just a couple of points...the dishwasher is in need of some TLC, it has a leak and the racks collapse when pulled out. The tumble dryer is playing up a little....seems like a heat sensor to me. However...we look forward to visiting again next year!!

  • "It has been a great experience."

Cottage was big enough to accommodate us (group of 7). We had couple of empty beds. Cottage was cosy, beds were comfortable, beautiful scenery and surroundings. We took our own bbq, we had a good weekend away. Defo recommended!!

  • "Spacious comfy cottage, beautiful surroundings."

Pristine bedding and towels., Sinks, toilets and baths clean. Two of the bathrooms were carpeted which wasn't ideal and very hard to keep clean. We needed a cot and high hair so contacted Jonathan who brought the items around within the hour. The Llyn peninsula is a beautiful area with multiple gorgeous beaches within a short drive. We were very lucky to be here in a September heatwave and made use of the garden an barbecue . As previously mentioned the Wifi was down for our stay and the TV wasn’t working but this encouraged the family to play board games etc and we had a fantastic family week.

  • "I would give 4."

5 stars if I could, not quite hit 5. Pros Lovely location in a working farm. Lots of space to walk the dogs. Great central location in Pwllheli to explore. You will require a car but you do for anywhere around here. John the owner and all staff are spot on. House was clean and well stocked. We were a few towels short but John sorted it within the hour. Lots of space and bathrooms for our party of 10. Cons There are two working dogs that live in a kennel within the courtyard. They bark, a lot. Some of the bedrooms are next to the courtyard so they can be heard. On a couple of occasions I was kept awake by the barking. One of the bedrooms is accessed through another bedroom. This needs to be clarified in the description or in a floor plan. Not an issue for our party but could be. Cutlery is a bit mish mash. Enough cutlery but some forks were huge and some were tiny. Only 3 tea spoons. Doesn't really affect my rating, but worth noting for the property. Other When we visited, the internet was down due to a fallen tree, but this is more a BT issue. Phone signal is patchy, not a bad thing in my eyes but teenagers weren't happy about it. Wouldn't be an issue if internet were online though. Again, not the property's fault. Overall a lovely holiday and lovely cottage, reasonably well equipped. Had the dogs not kept me up until 1am on the first night and woke me and the kids up at 4am another, it would be a 5 star.

  • "Lovely Cottage and decent size bedrooms."

Comfortable beds. Such a beautiful location amongst lakeside and woodlands. Only minor detail is that the post code takes you to the Glasfryn go karting place instead of the cottage but people close by are friendly and helpful in giving directions.

  • "Were enough rooms for all our party, the information does not show that two rooms are interconnected, which was OK for us as we had a family of four who could use them, but this might not suit everyone."

We were concerned that there was a full sized door at the end of the bedroom which the children were using (ie through the interconnected bedroom) which had no balcony or safety barrier despite being on the second floor and not locked. The iron balcony was lying on the ground below. Fortunately the door was sticking at the bottom and the children were not big enough to open it. The dishwasher leaked and some equipment was lacking. We did get in touch with Sykes who contacted the owner who sent two people round regarding dishwasher, lack of glasses and knickers, both of whom were very helpful. We have stayed in many houses through Sykes but have never had one where there is no contact number for the owner, no info pack of local emergency numbers or real welcome pack. There were some sachets of coffee and sugar and some firewood.

  • "We spent Xmas at the Coach House and also booked Rose Cottage, and there was plenty of space for 11 of us plus dogs!"

The cottages were well equipped for cooking Xmas Dinner, and the dining room was great. Thanks to the owners for providing xmas trees and decorations; which was much appreciated. The location was fab; we used the facilities at Glas Fryn but also made trips to Porthmadog, Criccieth, Pwllheli and Abersoch which are all within a short car ride. This a great area to holiday with lots of interest for families.
