4 Customer Reviews

  • "More of utensils, missing cheese grater, food mixer, serving spoons and no matches."

There were no plugs for the electric shaver and no mirror in the upstairs bathroom. The cooker barely worked. The location and bedrooms were great.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay at Ty’n Y Ffrwd."

The house was comfortable, clean and spacious and the kids had plenty of space to run around outside. My only recommendations would be to add curtains to the upstairs bedroom and to sort the WiFi which barely works. It worked to our advantage because we were able to completely switch off but for some this may be frustrating.

  • "Better than the description published: addition sitting room(4 seating areas) and the most fantastic walking in shower room!"

Only minor negatives were very rough track leading up to main entrance, harsh on car and beautiful roll top bath in Upper bedroom but insufficient hot water in tank to fill it. Lucky for us though the weather was too hot for baths. Plenty hot water for showers though. The Dyson vacuum didn't work very well for a quick vacuum each morning. Overall though we had a fantastic holiday and would happily return

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house."

It was clean, comfortable and very spacious. The kitchen was fully equipped and there was a lovely area at the back and to the side of the house where you could sit after a day out. On arrival, the approach to the owners drive is along an unmade road which is very uneven and has a lot of pot holes. The hedgerows are overgrown with plants and brambles making it quite narow

About the location

Nefyn 5 miles; Abersoch 9 miles; Pwllheli 10 miles.

The picturesque village of Tudweiliog lies on the Nefyn to Aberdaron road along the stunning north coast of the Llyn Peninsula and feels much further away than it is from the hustle and bustle of Pwllheli and Abersoch, and the other resorts along the south coast. The local pub is the Lion Inn and there is a Post Office in the village which also doubles as the village shop. The local beach is the cove of Porth Towyn, with its clean sand and waters, it is a popular choice with families. A little further along the coast is the wide bay of Traeth Penllech with the tiny fishing hamlet of Porth Colmon at its western end. The Llyn Peninsula is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is renowned for its scenery and varied walking, with coastal paths being a major attraction for the avid walker. Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust, where you will find many remote bays, sandy beaches, cliffs and wildlife havens, plus the region is dotted with castles, whilst fishing, sailing and watersport activities are available. Also within easy reach are Portmeirion, the Isle of Anglesey and the Snowdonia National Park, with its dramatic scenery and superb walks. With its proximity to such a wide range of destinations, Tudweiliog makes a wonderful base for a break in this part of Wales.
