We could not have asked for better. Cottage was so clean and fresh, provided everything we needed, so well equipped. Super location for exploring Snowdonia and surrounding areas. We can’t wait to come back in a different season and enjoy the cosy log fire in such a stunning place. Thank you so much for one of the best self catering accommodations we’ve ever stayed. Highly recommend to all! ++++

  • "The only downside is the neighbours barking and snarling dogs."

These could wake you at 6am.

Thank you! We are delighted that you were overall satisfied with the standard of accommodation and what it has to offer, providing a score of 100%! We are however very disappointed to learn that the barking of the neighbour’s dogs woke you early, and sincerely apologise for this. The extreme warm temperatures we have experienced of late will have necessitated the windows being kept open for guest comfort. This has not been brought to our attention previously, but I can assure you and our future guests that this will be monitored very carefully. We look forward to welcoming you back sometime soon! • "We found it a really wonderful house with great bath and shower and general facilities and very tasteful decor."

Thank you very much for providing hard copies of instructions for everything - we would have been lost without it as we aren't very good at looking things up on our phones. The only thing we were a bit unhappy about was that there isn't a big enough pan to cook pasta for 5 - we were 3 adults plus a hungry 15 year old and 11 year old. With that lovely big colandar for draining pasta we found this strange. A smaller sieve would be good too for washing fruit and vegetables. What the place needs is a pasta pan with steaming pans on the top to do vegetables. We enjoyed the giant oblong dish in the cupboard and as I had brought the Quick Roasting Tin recipe book we used that dish every day. With that fierce electric hob we found the three thin frying pans a trial. Otherwise it was a really excellently fitted out place to spend our holiday in.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We are delighted that you had a pleasant stay at the cottage. We appreciate the comments you have kindly provided regarding the kitchen equipment. Additional items have been purchased and will be available in the kitchen as soon as possible. We look forward to welcoming you back to “Yr Hen Dy Capel” in the future. Property Owner
