  • "Lovely property in a fabulous location with everything you need."

We had a great weekend. However just a few points that could make others experience better - the kitchen, back of house and downstairs bathroom were very cold, it would have been nice to have heating on for our arrival. Also could not work control for radiator in living room. The log burner door is faulty and was difficult to open. The front upstairs double room was cold and felt a bit damp maybe an issue with outside wall as could see plaster bubbling above.

Thank you for your feedback . I have changed the heating settings and ordered a WiFi controller for the kitchen / conservatory underfloor heating so it can be switched on for guests arrival Property Owner

  • "Have been to Ty Haf Rhosneigr several times and as always it was clean, warm and welcoming."

Initial impressions count a lot and Ty Haf doesn't disappoint, from plumped up cushions to the welcome pack (much appreciated), from the accessories and extra bits in the kitchen to the kids buckets, spades and fishing nets. We also loved the new rug in the living room!

  • "The house is lovely."

The location perfect. The upstairs bathroom really needs a non slip mat for getting out of the shower. All our party agreed that we had to be very careful when the bottom of the bath was wet as it was very smooth so slippery. Nobody was keen on using the shower downstairs as it’s not really a proper bathroom and situated off the garage, I think maybe just for showering after visiting the beach. I really didn’t like the fact that someone could enter a part of the property(that wasn’t locked) while I was in the house. If this is unavoidable I think there should be some communication to say that laundry may be dropped off and a rough idea of the time. As I pointed out I was in the house alone and it was unsettling to know someone ( although he was a trusted member of staff) had entered without my knowledge and I was probably in the bath at the time. Maybe something to think about for future guests. Also I have stayed in countless holiday lets of this standard and have never been expected to go out and buy toilet roll or be told by the owner I should have had some delivered to the house from an online shop. We did enjoy our stay but would probably not rebook due to previous comments.

Thank you for your feedback. We have put a full length non slip mat in the bath . We have also been able to arrange for our caretaker to collect and drop the laundry each week so there is no need for anyone to enter the outhouse area when guests are staying. We apologies for the concern this caused. We leave a starter supply of toilet paper , kitchen roll, dish washer tablets, washing up liquid , hand wash and a welcome tray with tea, coffee , sugar and fresh milk and extra goodies. I spoke to Menai Holidays and they felt that the quantity of toilet paper put out for your stay was more than acceptable and that it is normal for guests to include purchase of toilet paper within their grocery shop when they are staying in a self catering property. • "We are a family of 3 generations."

6 adults and 2 children. Beautiful house with lots of thought about visitors. Local artists and historical information and attention to detail paid throughout the house. Loved the splash back in the kitchen. I am sure this was done by the local art shop "Home of the Ugly Fish" which you drive pass just before you come into Rhosneigr.. House is just a sone throw from the beach. Perfect location. Came home wanting to improve my home!. Fish and chips from the local is yummy. Pancakes from Mojo's round the corner for breakfast a lovely treat. The only negative is that it wouldn't have been suitable for my elderly mother if 9 of us had visited as she has mobility issues. Parking was available on the street outside but the street is narrow.

  • "We had a fantastic stay at Ty Haf and would recommend it as a place to stay when visiting Rhosneiger."

The property is a stones throw from the lovely sandy beach and is dog friendly with a fully enclosed garden so any four legged friends are safe. The cottage has every amenity possible and the beds are so comfortable, in fact it is impossible to think of any negatives or areas for improvement. I will definitely be returning & would recommend it as a placed to stay for anyone who is thinking of visiting Rhosneiger.

  • "This was our second stay at Tyhaf which we found really comfortable and well equipped."

The owner, Vicky, has been helpful - there was a slight problem with the kitchen radiator that Vicky alerted us to when we arrived, via email, and we were able to sort it out quickly following Vicky's instructions. The cottage is in a very central location in Rhosneigr allowing easy access to the beach, and a variety of cafes and restaurants, all within a short walking distance. One of our party has mobility difficulties but there is room to store a mobility scooter inside the back door area and the two downstairs double bedrooms and shower and toilet catered for their needs. There are three upstairs bedrooms and a bathroom with shower over bath. All beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for clothes etc. Would definitely recommend Tyhaf as a place to stay in Rhosneigr.

It is very well equipped and has great Wifi and Sky tv. Some first floor doors paintwork needing retouching. Front double bedroom door difficult to close due to carpet drag. Shower screen seal is split and requires careful use. None of which would prevent me rebooking again.

Thank you for alerting us to the broken shower seal this has now been replaced. We plan tp repaint the doors the next time we have a break between lets. We look forward to welcoming you back to Tyhaf Cottage Property Owner

The cleanliness, warmth and comfort of the house makes a great homecoming after a long walk or an afternoon at the beach - which is at the bottom of the road. So handy there being fishing nets, buckets and spades for the littlies - much appreciated! The children cried coming home and us grown ups weren't too happy either! Hopefully we'll be back again next year - we're already looking forward to it!

The owner was always willing to help whenever we had queries. The property is very comfortable and in a beautiful location right by the beach and sea. I worried about parking in the narrow street with there being a few cars for our party but in the end it worked out well and even though it was Easter weekend we always had a parking spot in the street. Would return and recommend the property.

  • "The property is in a very handy location for the beach and places to eat out."

Several bars and dining out, or takeaway options within a 5 minute walk. We especially recommend MoJo's, Aydins pizza takeaway and Scarletts fish & chips. The property is dog friendly; we had one small dog with us who was very happy! The local pubs and eating places were dog friendly too. The kitchen is well equipped. We picked this place because of the layout, which we hoped would work for my mother-in-law, who is less mobile these days, and it worked out well. There are two ground floor double bedrooms and a ground floor bathroom with a walk in shower. This could be improved by having grab rails in the shower, however my mother-in-law managed. There was room to park her mobility scooter in the utility area just inside the back door, which was great, although a ramp would make it easier to lift inside, or even for her to drive inside. It was relatively easy to use the scooter around Rhosneigr, which gave my mother-in-law some independence and made for a good holiday experience. The upstairs bedrooms were comfortable, with plenty of space for clothes etc. and there is another bathroom upstairs. Rhosneigr is only a short drive from many beautiful beaches and lovely places to walk, although no need to go anywhere by car to enjoy Rhosneigr's beaches, literally only a minute's walk to the bottom of the road. We went mid September, and I imagine it could be very busy in the height of the season. Overall we had a very enjoyable holiday that met all of our varied needs. A week of good weather obviously added to the experience.

The property

Bright and blue, Ty Haf is a delightful cottage found on the coast of Anglesey on a row of other colourful cottages.

With a spacious downstairs communal space, it makes a fantastic property for a large family holiday or celebrating with old friends.

Particularly excellent in the summer months when you can gather and exchange old stories under the sunset whilst the dog naps in the conservatory; a perfect suntrap room for enjoying your morning coffee too!

The kitchen is a stylishly designed hub, using simplistic colors in contrast with a breath-taking glass splash-back presenting an image of the sunset just like the one you can see outside the very property itself; gather in this room in the morning before heading into the bustling village of Rhosneigr for a fry up on the beach front.

For those more relaxed evenings, the sitting room offers ample seating for all the family, a brilliant place to enjoy board games in the winter whilst sitting among the wood burning stove in the fireplace, you’re likely to find the dog in this spot most evenings; and we don’t blame him either.

With one double and a single bedrooms downstairs and a further two upstairs accompanied by a twin room which can be made into a super king size, this captivating cottage features a variety of thoughtfully styled bedrooms to make your stay as comfortable as possible with a seaside theme running throughout to add to the pretty character of the property.

Once you’ve explored the eateries in the local area (we recommend the Oyster Catcher), immerse yourself in the local culture of Anglesey by taking a trip to Beaumaris Castle, a medieval stronghold featuring an old moat and hosting an array of activities and events throughout the year, or explore the farmer’s markets held every third Saturday of each month at Prince’s Pier offering a varied selection of delicious produce.

Close to the golf club, ignite an old passion and enjoy a morning of sport amongst beautiful scenery before heading to the beach for a day of sun soaking and watersports.

For a day out with a difference, take a trip to Holy Island, a tidal island riddled with religious history, a castle, and a National Nature Reserve, it’s a true beauty well-worth observing.

Ty Haf is a wondrous cottage next to the beachfront of Anglesey, at the center of the action, it makes a perfect base for exploring the south-west of Anglesey.
