The views from every window in the cottage were Breathtaking and beautiful to look at, not only in the day but at night aswell the night sky was so dark that I managed to capture the Milky Way and see an overwhelming amount of stars Myself and my friends stayed in this cottage and not once did we feel out of place or unwelcome, we were certainly well looked after and had an amazing day 5 break. I will most certainly be coming back as it was so easy to get to and everything around us was accessible. This is truly the best cottage and I recommend anyone and everyone to stay here.

Otherwise everything was great the owners where helpful. The only other suggestions would be for some clearer signage on the driveway up to the holiday house as it wasn't very clear even when following the instructions.

Thank you for your comments, I have to agree on your point of the Reed Diffuser not to my taste either . I hope you felt able to pop them outside or maybe in the boot room out of the way. Re the issue of signage on the drive way . Unfortunately we are restricted to a point on this and for this reason have tried to give extensive and clear directions to all guests via Sykes. We will always do our very best to' talk guests in ' who get lost . Stay well Buddug Property Owner

The place is exactly as pictured- very clean, warm and cosy! The views were very tranquil and the owners sheep were so friendly - the kids loved them! It was a good break from the city and we didn't have to travel too far to visit places such as Mount Snowdon and Rhiwagor Falls which are both beautiful. There is also the famous Bala lake and the local shops which are only a 5 minute drive from the property. We would definitely recommend and would book again!

The only thing I would recommend is having an iron at the cottage. I would definitely recommend people to book a stay here. It has a very cosy and homely feel to it, perfect for a little getaway.

So please you enjoyed your stay and we very much appreciate your feedback. There is an iron in the boot room together with a small fold up ironing board, I'm sorry you hadn't seen this . The beds were very firm but the pillows very soft, could have done with having more pillows available. As we were there over Christmas it would have been a lot better to have more than 2 saucepans or at least a steamer. No broadband for the last 3 days.

Thank you for leaving this feedback ,we are aware Internet can be intermittent this is simply a forfeit for living where we do and it is mentioned in the details before you book. It's a Type 2 connection and you need your own cable. The charger uses the Charge Assist App, which was easy to use, and can be downloaded for both Apple and Android either in advance or using the QR code on the charger. The tariff was reasonable (Sep 2022: 45p/kWh + £1 each charge). Most important is the fact that, in order to charge, you must have a signal for your phone. EE worked. Virgin Mobile (O2) did not.

Thank you for leaving this feedback I'm very sure other electric car users will find it very informative. Much appreciated Buddug and Mark Property Owner

  • "We wanted to have a central location to visit North Wales and found this amazing holiday home (Arenig View)."

We were welcomed by Marc who we call our local tourist information :) You can ask him anything. In the house as a welcome a lovely bowl of fruits. The house is amazing. All you need/want when you rent a luxury holiday home. Together with the views, the environment, the lovely cats and sheep around the house it was a perfect location to visit North Wales. We felt very much welcome, had nice talks with Mark and Buddug and enjoyed every minute of the 3 weeks we stayed there. Was there anything to improve? Yes, one thing: a washing machine would be fantastic. When you stay for 3 weeks you need to wash your clothes. We found a launderette in Bala (Hoffi Coffi), but that was totally disappointing. Poloshirts totally ruined.

So really sorry to hear about your experience at the local laundrette. We have considered where we could put a washing machine but unfortunately it has not been possible . I totally understand this is more of a consideration when you have booked for 3 weeks. May be some other arrangements could have been made had we known. It was lovely meeting you all .Stay well .Buddug and Mark Property Owner

It is a new barn conversion which has been done to high spec and lived up to all its promises. As this is a new project Mark was willing to listen and act on any comments made. An excellent host who lives on site but respects ones privacy, he has good local knowledge and is very personable. Do be aware that this property is sem-detached,(fortunately we had good neighbours) which could also be rented for a larger group We have already recommended to friends and would be happy to return ourselves.
