  • "We had a fantastic week in Summertime Lodge."

We felt very comfortable and relaxed - especially with the stunning views from the balcony. There's lots of things to do within a short distance. We would love to come back to discover more.

  • "The property was not as listed, it was advertised as having 2 bathrooms but had one bathroom and a room with toilet and sink."

The icebox in the fridge was completely blocked with ice and looked like it had not been defrosted in weeks, it could have been a major problem if we wanted to put food in it. The property in general was very compact for four people. These things aside, the property was very clean, tidy and comfortable with very nice views and we had a great holiday walking the Wales Coast Path.

  • "The cabin was beautifully clean when we arrived with all windows open to thoroughly air the space, it gave great confidence in the current Covid situation."

The cabin was extremely comfortable and warm, well equipped and even had Sky Q and Netflix! The view from the balcony was spectacular. We stayed in the middle cabin of a total of just 3, they have been designed so that when you are on the balcony you can’t see the balcony of either of the other 2 cabins so very private and quiet. I would definitely recommend and will be returning.

Perfect accommodation in a beautiful setting. James our host is very attentive and helpful and we had a wonderful stay in the lodge. Facilities are first class and the little touches like toilet roll and cleaning facilities being available goes a long way. My family and I had a great time and I Cannot recommend this accomadation more highly

  • "We were at Summertime Lodge for two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

The Lodge was really comfortable and very clean throughout. We felt it was like home from home and the owners, Sharon and James, had, obviously, worked hard to make it so. They were friendly, cheerful and extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. The view from the decking/patio was to die for. There is nothing like seeing something like that "in person" as such - no picture can really do it justice. With the car we were able to travel easily to all the well known places of interest. We even spent a lovely day at Chester and enjoyed a short boat trip up the river Dee. Another good day out was to Llandudno - there's so much to see there. We would certainly recommend Summertime Lodge to any one looking to stay in North Wales and hope to return to the Lodge again in the not too distant future.

  • "We had a wonderful week at Summertime Lodge."

The Lodge had everything we needed fully fitted kitchen, TV with Sky Q and access to Netflix, electric fireplace and central heating for a colder weather if you need that works very fast. We slept well bed was very comfortable. The Lodge was clean nothing to complain. The view from the veranda is beautiful and I recommend to go on the mountain you can see from the veranda for more beautiful views. Close to the town Abergele and even closer to the coast. Lovely owners! On our last day James was so nice and give us a lift to the Abergele train station as we didn't travel by car that was very kind of him and we really appreciate that. If you need a quiet place to just sit and enjoy your free time looking on beautiful view or you're looking for more active holiday's with long walks this is the perfect place that combine both options. You can also visit near town of Llandudno that is also a beautiful place, even a ride in a bus was very enjoyable with all the amazing views on the villages and the coast. I think week was not enough to fully enjoy this place. Totally fell in love with Wales and the area of Rhyd-y-foel. Can't wait for another holiday in this wonderful place!

Excellent facilities and very well equipped. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the veranda and watching the sunset over the mountain. Ideal location - peaceful and relatively secluded, yet only a couple of minutes drive away from the town and coast. Thank you to James for being an extremely welcoming host

  • "Kitchen, living area and bathroom is really nice but bedrooms are a little old fashioned, we recommend taking your own bedding."

We had to “fix” a few things but managed. Found lots of extras for the kitchen in the shed (washing up liquid, wipes etc). A little bit difficult to find in the dark - sign is a bit hidden and won’t fit more than two cars per lodge. Really nice views and nice area.

  • "The lodge is clean & comfortable and well stocked with cleaning products."

I usually take my own washing up liquid, sponge & cloths but everything was provided. We stayed in summertime lodge, which had the most amazing outside area, which with 2 young children was fantastic. It’s lovely and peaceful with amazing views, perfect for relaxing in the evening. I can not fault anything about the lodge, I would just suggest taking more coat hangers. The owner Mrs Gethin, is lovely & really helpful. We really enjoyed our week at the lodge and will most definitely stay again.

.... the lady owner was so friendly & helpful. Sofas & bed were very comfortable - a very good position for sight seeing North Wales. Only bad thing about it was the kitchen is so small only one adult can really fit in it at a time so it was me who had to do all the cooking etc .... my husband had a wonderful relaxing holiday!!!! Also maybe a lock on the bathroom door would be a good idea for a family with teenagers or a group of friends as the door doesnt actually close - only a minor thing for us though!!!

Also only a few miles away from the beautiful sea side resort of Llandudno (and its many attractions), and also Conwy, with its fantastic castle and harbour. We travelled approx. 30 miles to Llaneris lake, which has a number of family attractions an 1 site (boat ride, train journeys, national slate museum, rock climbing and diving (I believe). It also had lovely views on Mount Snowdon. There are numerous other attractions within a 30-40 mile car journey too. So, all in all, a lovely place to stay. whilst exploring the lovely North Wales area.
