Llanrhydd Cottages

Wren, Robin and Curlew are three welcoming terraced cottages located next to each other, in the heart of the popular historic town of Ruthin, in the Vale of Clwyd, Denbighshire. All stylishly presented with careful attention to detail, using quality furnishings throughout, these three charming cottages offer a variety of bedroom sizes, to suit individuals or groups alike, and Wren and Curlew have the opportunity to share a communal garden when booked together. The owner has ensured that they are all well equipped to offer everything you would expect from a luxury holiday cottage, and with the quaint shopping streets, good selection of restaurants and pubs in the town, and popular tourist attractions including Ruthin Castle, the old Gaol and Craft Centre on your doorstep, as well as Llandegla cycle tracks nearby, and Chester and the North Wales coast in easy driving distance, you will take home happy memories of your holiday experience whichever cottage you choose to book.

The property

A small, cosy and welcoming ground floor apartment, one of three holiday properties next to each other, in the heart of the popular historic town of Ruthin, in the Vale of Clwyd.

Offering compact, modern, stylish open plan accommodation, you enter this lovely property through a well-equipped fitted kitchenette with a dining table and a cosy, intimate sitting room.

The pretty double bedroom, which is off the cosy sitting room, is welcoming and enjoys natural light, with the added benefit of a luxurious en-suite bathroom with stylish fittings and a corner shower unit.

There is a large store room running the depth of this little cottage, which houses a washer/dryer, but is also ideal for storing walking boots, outdoor clothing and bicycles, well catering for these pursuits which are so popular in the area due to the proximity of the Llandegla off-road cycle tracks and the many walking routes.

Ruthin itself offers shops and eateries as well as the castle, gaol and craft centre.

Visit Llangollen via the stunning Horseshoe Pass, or head to Chester to wander along The Rows or by the river, or visit the famous zoo.

With all of North Wales, and parts of Cheshire and Shropshire or even the cities of Liverpool and Manchester easily accessible, this small welcoming apartment makes a wonderful base for a relaxing or jam-packed break.

About the location

Llangollen 12 miles; Bala 18.5 miles; Chester 25 miles; Betws-y-Coed 30 miles.

The hilltop town of Ruthin lies to the north of Llangollen via the breathtaking Horseshoe Pass. The town is picturesque with attractive half-timbered buildings, mainly clustered around St Peter’s Square. There are many interesting shops and buildings, whilst the Nant Clwyd House (the oldest timber frame in Wales), Ruthin Gaol and Ruthin Craft Centre, which houses work by internationally recognised artists and craftspeople, are also worth a visit. Beautiful countryside is on Ruthin’s doorstep with Lake Brenig, Moel Famau Country Park and Clocaenog Forest close by. Further afield, but still within easy touring distance, are the coast, Snowdonia National Park and historic Chester.
