“It was so relaxing as soon as we got through the security gates.”

What a Beautiful find, cant wait to

What a Beautiful find, cant wait to go back after Lockdown, and explore the local area better. The Lodge was so modern ,lovely decor and brilliant gardens, our collie loved it and so did we,no worries and very safe. It had everything we needed, even the treats left and a bottle of wine on arrival. Lovely.

The property

The small village of Ford lies in the county of Shropshire, and within its borders sits this beautifully structured property, Shoothill Lodge, built within this century but styled to replicate a coach house, bringing classic old with the contemporary new.

Suited for a family of six, the property boasts spacious rooms and fine decor.

Beginning with the delightfully elegant sitting room with cream and beige hues mixed with dark wood, you can easily see yourself sitting back on the large sofa and looking out onto the garden and patio beyond on a summers eve, with huge oak beams above and a beautiful woodburning stove to keep you warm in the winter months.

Enter the kitchen next door to find a beautifully finished room with lovely wooden units hiding the essential appliances you need for your stay, creating a seamless style, and with a door opening out onto the picturesque patio, you can bring the outside in while you prepare some salads for a summer barbecue, with the property benefiting from a Webber barbecue.

Adjoining this room is the utility with a quirky sliding door, hosting the all-important washing machine and tumble dryer, a welcome extra when enjoying self-catering accommodation.

Two bedrooms are located on the ground floor, both excellent slumber spots, with the king size bedroom having patio doors looking out on towards the floral walled garden, while the twin room, with classic metal framed beds sits the other side of the contemporary bathroom holding a roomy P-shaped bath with a shower over.

Upstairs within the eaves but still offering good head-height is the master bedroom featuring a double bed, and an en-suite bathroom so you can enjoy a relaxing soak and then climb into bed to catch your rest for the next day.

After a lovely day exploring what a perfect way to end the day playing within the large maintained garden with the little ones and enjoying some alfresco dining.

Just 1 mile from Rowton Castle a popular wedding venue in the area, this is the perfect base to get ready for attending a wedding in the castles beautiful surroundings.

When you're ready to venture out, visit the vast and beautiful Shropshire Hills AONB for a chance to enjoy a great selection of walking trails, cycling, and home to some of the oldest rock formations in existence.

For a bustling Tudor town centre, go to Shrewsbury where it's lined with quaint half-timbered houses and visit the medieval red brick Shrewsbury Castle for some local history before choosing where to dine for an indulgent meal out.

Shoothill Lodge is a wonderful place to enjoy a peaceful break, whether relaxing within the enclosed grounds of the property or exploring the Shropshire countryside and towns.
