  • "A comfortable and well equipped cottage."

Good food at the owners' pub at very reasonable prices. The parking is very tight at the cottage & I couldnt get my V60 in but our friends got their smaller Ford suv in. Can't imagine how someone got a Range Rover in. Steep approach road was a challenge for our angina sufferer

  • "Lovely unique property with heart and sole of owners put in to it."

We really enjoyed our stay with our teenage kids and black lab, and would recommend to others. As they are also the owners of the village pub eating there is a must as the food was great and the friendly staff /villagers made us all very welcome, (You could order to take out too!). The village shop just next door to pub was open from 9-6pm had all we needed after a day's walking on route back up to the hot tub in the Chapel garden to sooth our aching muscles! Thank you Phil & Lara for a lovely stay

  • "The Old Chapel is a home from home stay, in that as soon as you walk in you relax!"

The views from the patio and hot tub are beautiful across the valley and all you can hear are the sound of the sheep on the hillside. The Old Chapel has everything you need for a comfortable stay, a very well equipped kitchen, great showers, a comfortable sofa in front of the log burner and a large dining table for eating and playing card games in the evening. Just down the road is a friendly pub and shop, and on your doorstep there are beautiful walks in rural Shropshire. We all loved our stay in the Old Chapel.

  • "We had a great time."

It was nice to see that they had kept on top of things as we stayed a few years ago and can see they have made great changes, such as TV, underfloor heating and bathrooms etc but kept the character. Garden could do with some TLC and flags fixing and ensure bins empty when arrived - outside bin had previous occupants dog dirt in and when we left the bags out for collection on Tuesday nothing happened. Taking all the above in dont let that think this is not a wonderful place to stay and although in the middel of nowhere there is still good wifi if you wanted it but we wanted to escape and that we did. Thanks to Lara and Phil for letting us stay in this wonderful place

  • "Overall we had a lovely time at the Old Chapel."

The hot tub was brilliant and the garden area being enclosed was great with the dogs. It’s a shame about the parking, luckily extra parking available at the pub but problematic when it’s raining etc. We had a flood following heavy rains as the grid outside was blocked with leaves. My husband removed the blockage but the hall was very wet for a few days. We did make the owners aware ( apparently it had happened before).

  • "We had a fabulous stay at The Old Chapel!"

The cottage is much more spacious than it looked on the photos. We loved falling asleep under the stars in the Master Bedroom and watching the sun set as we sat in the hot tub. The lemon drizzle cake, bread and milk was very welcome, especially as our Tesco delivery was cancelled! We had a great time visiting the Silver Mine, Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and the Victorian Village. We also enjoyed Sunday lunch at The Stiperstones Inn and popped along to the quiz night which was great fun. We would love to return again. My only slight bit of negative feedback is I like to sit with my feet up and there was no footstool or pouffe so I had to do a little rearranging of the furniture to get comfortable. Other than that, everything was wonderful and I would highly recommend.

The hot tub is fantastic and we spent numerous hours relaxing in there. The local pub is only a short walk away, the food was delightful with very reasonable prices and the local shop which is attached to the pub is a little golden nugget and had everything you need and more. I stayed at the property with my partners parents and our two young children, the only real issue was the noise of the upstairs floorboards which I know cannot be altered due to the age of the property but may be a consideration for people with young family’s. Overall the property is located in a peaceful and relaxing setting where you can sit back and recoup. Would highly recommend!!

It had EVERYTHING you could possibly need whike away - we took all sorts of things we thought we might need for self catering but needn't have bothered as this beautuful place has it all. The owners run the pub, literally a couple of minutes away from the cottage, and were really lovely and helpful. Everything you need to know is in a welcome pack folder set out when you get there and they gave us all the essentials like milk, tea, bread all ready for us! If you run out of anything, there's a shop right next to the pub too. All rooms are beautifully presented - the log burner is huge and a real bonus in the cold weather. The hot tub is amazing and is a 6 person one with plenty of room and views across the fields at the rear of the house. Beds are very comfy, bathrooms are gorgeous and all newly fitted. We had a couple of takeaways from the pub menu, and the food is great - very reasonably priced! I could go on about this cottage for hours and we already plan to return next year.
