This place is fantastic, so spacious and perfect for a big group of people. We were a group of friends who travelled from Manchester and London for a weekend get-together to celebrate a couple of birthdays. It was a very easy and quick drive from Manchester, and great value for the weekend. Great facilities for cooking, and loads of parking space for cars. Good location right next to zip world, and also near to several places to go for a good hike. Unfortunately due to the weather we ended up spending most of the weekend in the house and not outdoors as we'd hoped, but it is a fantastic place to spend time! Good TV with Sky/ Netflix etc, and the games room kept us entertained. Plus the host Sharon was extremely helpful and called to check we had arrived okay, and was very happy to allow us a late check out. We are very keen to return in summer so we can enjoy the outdoors a bit more.

The property

A lovely, spacious, detached property nestling in its own grounds, just one mile from the centre of Blaenau Ffestiniog, in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park.

Located next to the Llechwedd Slate Caverns and at the foot of an extreme downhill mountain bike track, this Welsh cottage provides a fabulous base for getting outdoors and exploring the surrounding area.

It features a large farmhouse-style kitchen and dining area with a breakfast bar.

There is also a comfortable sitting room and a further small dining area with a woodburner to relax in front of.

A door leads through to a games room, with a dart board and table football.

Upstairs has five spacious bedrooms, four of them benefiting from an additional open mezzanine sleeping area, allowing flexible sleeping arrangements for larger groups.

Outside has a terraced garden with a lawn, patio, furniture and a pond.

A great spot to relax together after a long day out.

There is plenty to do in Blaenau Ffestiniog, from the walking and cycle trails to the steam railway line, and popular underground slate caverns, all within easy walking distance.

For the more adventurous, why not visit Zip World Titan with its amazing zip lines or Bounce Below with its underground trampolines?

Within a 15 minute drive are the famous Coed-y-Brenin and Betws-y-Coed mountain bike trails.

Situated close to so many attractions, this is a lovely cottage for your Snowdonia break with friends and family all year round.
