The utility room and wet room downstairs were added bonuses for the family. The family bathroom is very luxurious. We were made to feel very welcome by the hosts throughout our stay. The farmyard animals saying hello to us was also a fun experience and added to the overall experience. The cottage is in an excellent location for visiting many of Snowdonia's sites all within a short drive

Both the owners were very welcoming and they even left us a gift package which was really nice of them. We went for walks through the woods next to a nice river/stream that led up to a Waterfall and the scenery was brilliant we would highly recommend this property to stay at even the restaurants in town were really good to eat in

The views are amazing and the location is good for walking and cycling in the Conwy Valley or for getting further afield. The owners were very friendly and available if needed, but not at all intrusive. We would definitely recommend it.

  • "The hosts had thought of everything when fitting out the tastefully decorated cottage/providing useful facilities."

It was also very spacious and comfortable. This is just a tiny point but when your head hit the pillow, the fresh smell was gorgeous every single night and even there when we stripped the beds on the final day. As I said , a tiny detail but it is details like this that make a difference. We loved the welcome pack with the farm fresh eggs etc - a lovely touch. We had a brilliant weather and actually felt slightly disappointed that we couldn’t use the log burner!!! The location is excellent - we loved the views and our grandson enjoyed chatting to the cows/sheep/donkeys that popped by to say hello!! The farm dogs were very friendly especially Nel who got plenty of cuddles. It is also a great location for getting out and about - half an hour drive or less to a range of places and very close to Llanrwst, Betws-y-Coed and Snowdonia. The hosts left a recommended guide folder for things to do and places to eat out - very helpful. I’m not sure we will be able to back next year as we are restricted to certain times and it already seems booked up but we will look to book again. We have already recommended to several people. Oh and we left something when we left - Caryl rang us immediately and posted it out to us . Just another example of great hosts!

  • "The cottage was in a beautiful setting."

Eventhough is was on a working farm, we had complete privacy. The hosts had arranged for milk, butter, coffee and tea, as well as a local fruit cake, which we thought it was a nice touch. Our 3 year old and myself were in bed or the sofa with a horrible cold and didn't explore the area as much as we would've liked. The only thing I would improve would probably be the TV, only because of our personal experience as we were house bound. If we had a smart TV we could've logged in to streaming services. Would definitely recommend and we are already thinking of the next time we are going back.

  • "Well positioned cottage with wonderful views with the Helpful owners nearby for any problems or advice on the area."

I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to explore all this lovely area has to offer. We have a few future recommendations for consideration. Another comfy chair for the lounge area, there were six adults in our party, we found sitting in the middle of the large sofa on the edge of two cushions was not very comfortable. Having single zip linked bed in all rooms would give maximum flexibility, particularly if more than two of the party are not couples. The sofa bed does give other options but is not ideal as early risers have to pass through this room to reach the kitchen. The fridge was also on the small side for six adults. Not enough cutlery if you want to completely fill the dishwasher Lastly it says three cars on the internet, currently room for four Please note these are only observations, not criticisms as we had a lovely holiday. • "Our stay at Pen Y Bryn was wonderful, the house is absolutely perfect!"

For the stay, it was mainly myself and partner with our 2 year old daughter, although we also had family stay for a couple of nights. We were looking for a spacious, isolated home with a high finish, log burner and good views - the house exceeds all of these points easily. Well worth staying here, very close to lots of activities all around Snowdon.

We loved the cows and the new puppies. It was so much fun being a part of the farm. We would highly recommend you stay here when vacationing in Wales, especially if you are a large family!
