  • "The Warren U5."

April 2024. Really enjoyed our stay at U5, the chalet is spacious, in a great location, not over looked with good sized outdoor space too compared to others I have stayed in. Unfortunately, there is some maintenance required on a few things, such as the loose taps in kitchen and the bath, electric shower in bath wasn’t working. WiFi wasn’t working, probably due to the storm we had. Nothing major that can’t be fixed and can expect some things not to be perfect in a rental. I did mention this to Martin the owner, and he was very apologetic about it all and offered to get guys out to sort some of the stuff but it was fine it didn’t spoil our holiday. I’m sure it will all be fixed soon enough and we would definitely stay again.

Thanks Jonathan. Sorry again for the inconvenience. I’ve had the shower and hob replaced with new and sorted the loose taps. Glad it didn’t spoil your stay. Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful week away."

The property is beautiful. The owner contacted us prior to our arrival and provided us with some useful information and was more than happy to help with a few queries I had. On arrival there were no issues getting through the ANPR controlled gates, we provided all 3 car registrations and all got through no problem. On arrival the property was clean and tidy both inside and out. We did find that we were all using the ensuite shower as it’s a lot more powerful than the one in the shared bathroom. Beds were super comfy. Sofa was too low for my grandma to use but we piled some cushions up and she was fine. Outdoor shower was very handy for getting any sand off before heading indoors. Washer and dryer were easy to use. Access to the beach is just round the corner via a narrow sandy path. The outdoor pool area was perfect, non slip flooring and no steps just walk in. Heated to at least 28/30oc and the small shallow pool must have reached 40oc easily! It was like getting into a hot tub!! Sadly as we went in June and not peak season the pool would close at 5pm but then you can go enjoy another 3 hours of sunshine on the beach. Only been back home 24hours and have booked to stay again next year. Thank you for a wonderful holiday, here’s to many more to come.

Thanks for a fabulous review, Sarah. Property Owner

  • "This is the second time this year that I have stayed in this property."

I only stayed this time as I had already booked and loss of deposit etc. The property is tired, several lights don't work, the main door handle / mechanism is faulty and difficult to operate, the freezer needs de-icing badly (cant open the doors). The fire/heater in the lounge doesn't work (or the remote to control it is faulty), the shaving / mirror light in the bathroom doesn't work. Most of these problems existed several months ago, last time I stayed, which indicates a general lack of maintenance and effort to make the property functional for renters. Furthermore, during both stays I provided the car registration details, as requested, but this is pointless as The Warren take no notice of the information. This means that each time you enter the park you have to discuss your booking with security.

Thanks for sharing your feedback, which is obviously disappointing to hear. Maintenace is due to be carried out in the quieter season. Property Owner

  • "Our second stay in this property."

I was concerned about earlier reviews regarding the main bathroom shower, en suite floor tiles and garden area but I am happy to say all issues have been rectified. Fabulous property in brilliant location.

Thanks Christine. Had a few delays getting the shower room re-tiled but glad everything was ok for your stay. Property Owner

  • "We have stayed in u5 numerous times over the past few years."

Unfortunately the chalet has become very tired. Shower floor tiles broken and sharp Taps broken kitchen and main bathroom Double bed sagged I the middle Sofa base broken. Unusable. Outside was filthy, cigarettes ends and dog mess. Such a shame as in lovely position. Really needs some tlc.

Hi Nicola, sorry the property wasn’t up to standard. We’ve since had the en suite fully re-tiled, a new quality kingsize mattress installed and completed some refurbishment work inside and out. Property Owner

  • "On arrival the property seemed presentable and as expected but during usage we came across lots of maintenance issues: * Broken and loose floor tiles in the ensuite bathroom, we actually felt that this was dangerous and had concerns about the tiles cutting our feet."

Had we had children with us this would of been entirely unacceptable. *Staining over carpets and rugs *Scuff marks over walls *Wardrobe door has a broken door, that’s fallen of its rails *Window hinges are broken *Tin foil over shower tidy *Black mould in and around the ensuite shower *Faulty taps in the bath *Initials jet washed into patio *Broken and missing bulbs throughout bedrooms *Weeds everywhere *Rotted panels/damage to the outside of the chalet *Dog waste in the garden area It’s clear this property has once been very loved, but now needs allot of general maintenance. We would not stay here again and didn’t feel safe using the ensuite due to the broken floor tiles. We are extremely unhappy about the cost of the stay, given the poor and dangerous state of the chalet. Photos are available but I’m not able to upload them here.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands").
