great location max 60 mins drive to most attractions but most witin 30 mins this cottage had virtually everything you would need even usb chargers! the only complaint was parking inaccuracy in the description there was loads of it if you could get a space anoying when wet one of the most comfortable beds ive slept in away from home unfortunatley the local pub is closed :(

! well placed as a base to explore north wales the bed was one of the most comfortable ive ever slept in away from home:) shame about the street light outside which made the room quite light but we got used to that the only complaint is the details states ample parking from that statement you would expect to be able to park, Not true if theres a space then you can but on 3 occasions we couldnt. kind of had to park around the corner in a side street not sure if i was really safe to park where i did so had to keep looking out if there was space and move. i found this quite anoying especially if it was wet I think this should be stated more acurately in the description

“Bodalaw cottage is a great holiday cottage in beautiful Wales.”

The cottage is very cosy and well equipped. We had a splendid time there and enjoyed the beautiful countryside and climbed Mount Snowdon in the mist. Wales was beautiful and we were very fortunate to have three days of great weather. The only thing that bothered us was that the village pub was closed permanently. On your site it says that there is a pub at walking distance. But it is not open anymore!

“It can be noisy in the early morning due to deliveries to village shop.”

We notice this as we don't live on a road at home. The pub in the village is now closed.The cottage makes a good base for exploring the Rhinogs.There is no means of making coffee in the cottage.But apart from that its well equipped.Good standard of cleanliness.

The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. The village shop/post office is excellent and very convenient. The only inaccuracy in the listing is that there is no longer a pub in the village.

“I had a lovely holiday in a beautiful part of the country.”

The cottage had all that I could need, and more, however I was disappointed with the second bedroom. It has no window and only a small uncomfortable bed that could use a new mattress. Had I known that the second room would not be comfortable for my mother then I would not have chosen this cottage. Perhaps the room is usually only used for children? I had read a review which described the small bedroom as 'quirky'. That we really unhelpful as I assumed it referred to the decor and not to the fact that it felt like sleeping in a cupboard, except there is a stained glass window in it that leads into the bathroom! The cottage is in a very pretty village and the locals are very friendly.

“Great cottage, great location!”

A lovely welcoming cottage with everything you could possibly need for a carefree, relaxing holiday. The village shop almost next door, friendly locals and situated as it is means you can easily explore north, east, south and west. Can definitely recommend it. Just one tip: if you don't get back to the cottage before the locals get back from work in the evening the parking spaces in the off road bay can be full.

“Fantastic”

This cottage has everything anyone could need on holiday. It was clean tidy and very comfortable. The village is quiet and friendly with a well stocked convenience store practically next door. Stay here and enjoy your time in north Wales.

“A fantastic Break”

A lovely cottage in a beautiful part of the country, the open fire gives the cottage a homely feel (wood provided) and facilities are excellent. A selection of board games, films and CD's are also available. Contrary to a previous comment, parking was never a problem. Would definately recommend.

“A very relaxed environment.”

The cottage was in a fabulous location, with easy distances to most attractions. The cottage itself was very clean and a very comfortable place to stay; all the facilities you required. My friends and I felt there was no need to install an internet connection, a holiday for us is relaxing and sight-seeing. I say this because a comment left in the guest book stated it would be a better place if there was an internet connection. There are plenty of holiday lets in North Wales area that advertise an internet connection - so do not choose a let that has no interent. I think that is an unfair expense to put on the owners. I would recommend Sykes Holiday Cottages to all. The whole service was faultless.

An early 19th century, stone-built mid-terrace cottage, in the village of Trawsfynydd, in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park, this pretty property makes the ideal Trawsfynydd holiday cottage.

Retaining much of its original character, including the stone inglenook fireplace and multi-fuel stove, the property has a charming and cosy atmosphere, while the rear patio garden is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the countryside and mountain views in the distance.
