The property

A traditional, mid-terrace cottage located in the traditional Welsh village of Trawsfynydd, close to the popular mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog, in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park.

This cottage is full of character and provides a wonderful base for any family or group of friends looking to explore the area.

Enter through the main entrance into the porch area, ideal for kicking off your boots after a day of hiking.

The spacious sitting room boasts high ceilings whilst maintaining a rustic feel and leads into a well-equipped kitchen, perfect for hosting family meals.

Outside your cottage you will find an enclosed, terraced courtyard with furniture, an ideal spot for enjoying the sun.

The village of Trawsfynydd has a small selection of shops, along with the Trawsfynydd Lake which is a walkers, cyclists and fishermen's paradise.

Within reach is Blaenau Ffestiniog, which has good amenities, with superb access to Snowdonia with its abundant walking and cycling trails, while the bustling harbour town of Porthmadog is 13 miles away, home to the Ffestiniog Railway, where you can travel by steam through spectacular Snowdonia scenery.

This lovely cottage is an ideal base for enjoying the delights that the surrounding area has to offer.

Porthmadog 12 miles; Dolgellau 13 miles; Harlech 14 miles.

This traditional Welsh village lies in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park, and is surrounded by the Rhinog, Moelwyn and Arenig mountains. The impressive Trawsfynydd Lake, which is only a short walk from the village, is renowned for its fishing and offers a recently completed walking and cycling route around the entire lake. The village itself boasts a small variety of shops. This area is a mecca for outdoor activities including excellent water sports, climbing, walking, fishing, golf and mountain biking. The beautiful beaches at Black Rock Sands, Harlech and Barmouth are close by, as are the bustling towns of Dolgellau and Porthmadog. Visit castles, narrow gauge railways, slate and copper mines and the famous Portmeirion Italianate Village.
