The property

A delightful double fronted detached cottage located in the pretty semi-rural village of Waunfawr in Gwynedd, North Wales, situated close to the Snowdonia National Park.

Rhoslan cottage is perfect for a family break or would suit a couple beautifully or even friends.

Sympathetically renovated in a modern and contemporary style whilst retaining its character features give a lovely combination of modern fittings and charm to this cottage.

A good standard of furnishings with engineered oak flooring, oak staircase and internal ledge and brace doors just add that extra touch of quality.

The light and bright sitting room, featuring a traditional fireplace with a timber mantle and exposed red brickwork, has comfy seating in which to relax after a busy day out and about.

The kitchen is contemporary and refreshing, with plenty of space to cook lovely meals to enjoy in the dining area.

The kitchen extends through to a useful utility room with patio doors leading to the rear patio area with furniture, so you can even enjoy your meals al-fresco.

The first floor has two lovely well-appointed bedrooms, the main bedroom boasting a king-size bed, and a stylish family bathroom featuring reclaimed materials and modern tiling.

Waunfawr offers a handful of amenities, a village shop is just up the road and if you fancy sampling some local craft beers or enjoy a home cooked meal why not have a walk to the local pub with its own microbrewery that has won the CAMRA Pub of the Year for the local region for four years running.

Horse riding is close by and the walled town of Caernarfon, a World heritage site is just a short drive away.

The impressive castle is definitely worth a visit and the kids will love crab-fishing off the harbour walls.

The Welsh Highland & Ffestiniog steam railway which has a station in the village travels to Caernarfon too, so there is no need to even get the car out.

Walkers have a choice of trails that cross the landscape, including the iconic Welsh walks up Snowdon itself and the beautiful village of Beddgelert lies 13 miles south and is a splendid village to visit, seeping in history and legend.

The beautiful Isle of Anglesey also sits just a short drive away with an endless amount of beaches and quaint little towns.

A tremendous cottage, Rhoslan can be enjoyed throughout the year.
