"The house was lovely and spacious however it was not as clean as I would expect and there was not enough seating for the 8 people it sleeps."
Cleaning products left to "leave the house as we found it" were not adequate as the Hoover and spray mop did not work. There were a number of flies both alive and dead in the second floor room and no blinds on the windows in this room making it difficult to sleep in. The "games room" is literally a room with a table football game in it and nothing else. There were not enough plates etc for all guests and very limited cooking utensils such as pans. Some of those available were not clean. From reading the guest book within the house I doubt these things will be rectified as they have been mentioned by past guests and met with defensive responses. We will book again with sykes but probably not this particular property
"Although we had a fab time we were a little dismayed that parts of the cottage weren’t clean mainly the kitchen and dining area."
There was no warning that the upstairs doors close themselves and quite fast , one lady trapped her finger the first day and is still suffering. No rear outside light or warning that the decking is extremely slippy when wet and I slipped and hurt my wrist! The cottage though, is amazing, well set out and spacious and I would recommend it just with the few little things about put right.
"Mike and deb were incredibly helpful and made us feel welcome."
The property was perfect for us and lovely and homely too
"We had a great time."
The venue was perfect. Even the neighbours were amazing one of which helped change a flat tyre for us (all girls with no clue how to do it) We had a great time and would recommend highly
"House was stunning, we all loved the visit from the cows every day, and the views were beautiful, had a great week and will be returning, so much to do here, that we just couldn't fit it all in."
Llangollen is well worth a visit.
"Great accommodation Some great extraclittle touches."
Good communication and help where needed from the owner.
"Fabulous house that is well maintained."
The rooms are amazing. Lots to do around the area that my two boys really enjoyed. The house is only half hour away from Chester zoo or a beach.
"Fantastic place to stay."
Would highly reccomend.
"We loved the games room and the open plan kitchen it meant everyone could sit together even whilst food was cooking"
"Had a great stay at Dolanog!"
Very friendly owners and such a lovely property. A great location with uninterrupted views of farms & countryside. The owners kindly left leaflets on the table for nearby activities and food places which was a nice touch.
"Dolanog is a fabulous property in lovely surroundings, bedrooms and facilities 10 out of 10."
Accommodation was very comfortable and clean. It was a perfect place to stay for our weekend birthday celebration and with many activities within an hours drive away, it's ideal for future longer holidays. There was a minor fault with the hot tub, which was notified to me and fixed before we arrived and water level checked on the following day. Very professional and friendly people. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this venue or book again. 5*
