Great location for walking into Whitby, just a short but very steep path up to the road then lovely stroll through. Nice well maintained gardens and river view too. Would happily revisit

  • "Just returned from a week away at Herons Reach, what a lovely cottage in a superb location."

My granddaughter enjoyed finding crabs in the river, I enjoyed seeing the steam trains passing by. Very little driving as so many places to walk to. The Cinder Track into Whitby was a lovely stroll. I will be booking again.

You need to drive right down to the viaduct - this could be a little clearer in the property instructions.

Lovely peaceful location, excellent facilities in cottage. We had our small dog with us who loved sitting on balcony watching the ducks! She even met the friendly swan! Whitby is a lovely town with lots to see and do, taxis readily available if you don’t want to drive or walk to and from cottage. Would definitely recommend it and hope to return to herons reach in the future. Found Sykes to be very helpful would book with them again.
