  • "This is one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in."

We loved it. Very clean, warm and comfortable. The welcome tray and wine was a lovely touch too. We had a great stay and will definitely return .

  • "This property was very comfortable spacious everything that you could need whilst staying."

away from home, peaceful great views off street parking great base for visiting Whitby York Scarborough and of course heartbeat village. Only one downside for us was the fact neither single room had a tv. however it won’t stop us visiting again. Thank you for allowing us to stay

  • "Really enjoyed our stay."

Lovely cottage, quiet rural location but not far from a main road. Having a large driveway was a real bonus. Really good walks from the village and a lovely view from the cottage windows. Enjoyed food at the local pub 'The Forge '. Communication with the owner was excellent.

Super clean and lots of welcome touches left out for us. Fresh flowers, milk, cake and biscuits. Highly recommended.

  • "Great property in a great location."

Really spacious inside with everything we needed and very comfortable. We was lucky with the weather and was able make the most of the outside area too. Very quiet little village with a lovely pub within walking distance, that serves really nice food. On arrival, there was a bottle of wine in the fridge, tea bags, milk, cake, biscuits and fresh flowers in a vace on the dinning room which was lovely welcome.. would definitely recommend this property

Prompt and friendly attention given to a minor repair to a faulty cupboard. Generous sized rooms with all necessary facilities. Couldn’t have been improved. Thank you.

  • "We had a fantastic week here, family of 6."

Nice big kitchen for cooking family meals, plenty of room for everyone in the lounge and a lovely view. All rooms decent size too. Handy having the drive as we had 3 cars between us. Communication with the owner was great and he even let us check out later to accommodate joining the local park run event in Whitby. The location was just great for us, as an active family we were only 10 mins drive from sands end beach for swimming, close to many good walks on the moors and only half hour drive to dalby forest for mountain biking. We had a brilliant week and the cottage was perfect for us, very clean and had everything we needed! Thank you!

  • "The location was really good."

The house was great and the little touches such as leaving us some milk/biscuits and Yorkshire tea was a welcome surprise! The house was really clean which was really pleasing especially with young children. We went to Whitby most days and Robin Hood Bay. We liked Sandsend beach the best for our small children. The views from the house were lovely. A few minor points- we probably needed a bit more info about the car disc for road side parking. Also a local pub with a play area for the children would have been a bonus in the actual village. But adults could walk to the Forge pub. Really though we had a lovely stay.

  • "Cherry Garth is a spacious house which accommodated a family with 3 generations really well."

All rooms were good sizes with plenty of storage and furnished to a good standard. The location was superb, with easy access to Whitby, the moors and fantastic beaches. Aislaby itself is a charming village with a cracking pub 'The Forge'. We would definteley recommend this property to others.
