The property

Set in the heart of Barmston, on a small complex, Northview is an attractive cottage, suitable for families wishing to explore the East Coast resorts and the largely undiscovered Yorkshire Wolds.

Traditionally furnished in a homely style, the cottage is warm and welcoming, with a comfortable sitting room, a compact kitchen and two bedrooms on the first floor, the double affording delightful views over open countryside.

Outside is a communal patio area, perfect for sitting and enjoying the morning sunshine, before heading off for the beach.

With the convenience of an on-site shop, shared with a small touring caravan site, everything is to hand, including the option of a chargeable laundry service.

The friendly village of Barmston has a good local pub serving food and a traditional duck pond, whilst a short stroll brings you to a lovely dog friendly sandy beach, where children can build sandcastles and paddle in the sea.

The towns of Bridlington and Filey offer a variety of pubs and restaurants while Bridlington has the Spa Entertainment Centre and Filey a promenade and unique coble landing.

There are a number of stately homes in the area which provide fantastic days out including Burton Agnes Hall, Sewerby Hall and Sledmere House.

The RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs is a haven for bird and nature lovers as it is home to spectacular colonies of nesting sea birds.

With so many attractions in the area, guests are ensured of a varied and fun family holiday.

The small village of Barmston lies on the east coast, six miles south of Bridlington. This friendly, rural village overlooks the North Sea, with stunning views along the coastline from the cliff top, where on a clear day you can see for miles up and down the coast. The village centre has a pub serving food, and an Italian restaurant is only a 10 minute walk away. A duck pond completes this quiet village, whilst nearby is a sandy beach. Situated between the traditional seaside towns of Bridlington and Skipsea, the area is ideal for family holidays with plenty of activities and attractions available, including Bempton Nature Reserve, Hornsea Freeport, golf courses and historic houses and gardens.
