  • "The location of the cottage was ideal for visiting local places and attractions."

However, we were very disappointed at the standard of cleanliness - it appeared that just a superficial clean had been done and there were several areas which we had to clean ourselves on arrival. The furniture and fittings (including the carpet) were very tired and some in a poor state of repair (including seating which was a bit worrying), with stains on carpet, walls and sofas.

  • "The accommodation was very well equipped, with everything needed for a three-night stay."

The location was a perfectly quiet place to relax and close enough to the Flamborough Cliffs and other attractions.   We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Carven Cottage and would love to visit again in the future.   Many thanks for an excellent stay.

The cottage provides plentiful room to have a restful holiday with comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen and utility room. The games and wide ranging books provide you with the opportunity to chill out and relax. An extensive garden gives the children a chance to run off their surplus energy. Local coastal resorts are within easy access from the cottage. Highly recommended.

  • "Wonderful stay in this beautiful cottage with its generous sized garden."

Loved the attention to detail in the cottage, such as the fairy lights in the dining room, the boardgames, books and thoughtful welcome pack. We had a lovely family holiday, a perfect location for adventures.

  • "Fabulous cottage in a beautiful location very comfortable although there was not enough hot water for 7 people to use in the morning."

Water collected in the shower room and floor was often wet in the toilet.

  • "We had a fantastic stay at Craven Cottage in September 2021."

The cottage is homely, well equipped and met the needs of our party comprising of 4 adults and a baby. We found Foston on the Wolds to be a beautiful, peaceful village, perfectly located for trips to local towns and seaside villages within a short drive. The cottage itself was spacious and included plenty of home comforts which enabled us settle in straight away. We did find that the downstairs shower did overflow easily and their was a small cistern leak in to the downstairs toilet. All in all we loved loved our holiday and would highly recommend both Craven Cottage and the local area, we are sure to visit again some time.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Craven Cottage."

Beautiful very well equipped house in a peaceful rural setting but close to Beverley and the East Coast. We found lovely organic free range eggs for sale in the village plus an excellent butcher, fish and chips and chinese food in nearby Beeford.

  • "We stayed at Craven Cottage over Christmas and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting."

Everything about the cottage and the surrounding areas was exactly what we were looking for. The cottage was well equipped, clean and extremely cosy. The log burner was loved by the whole family and made it even more Christmassy. The owners were very helpful and helped make our Christmas perfect. We will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you JP & Lindsey x

  • "A very peaceful location away from all the hustle and bustle."

The cottage is at the end of a lovely quiet village with some nice walking routes and in easy reach of other places such as Driffield, Bridlington, Beverley, Hull, York and the wonderful coast. The cottage itself is very well equipped, has a wonderful garden with many fruit trees and a lovely greenhouse in which we were able to dine if we wanted. The rooms in the cottage were very comfortably furnished and the six of us (five adults and a young child) had plenty of room. It was immaculately clean and tidy. The owners were very helpful and the self check-in with the key lock was great. We would love to come here again.
