Clean and tidy with lots of lovely extras added. Convenient for Beverley and getting out to the seaside and York. Parking was never a problem.

  • "Very clean , warm and comfortable cottage."

Private fully enclosed back garden . The house was on a quiet road but only a short walk to central Beverley. Beverley is a busy town but crammed full of beautiful architecture and plenty of shops and eating places. About a 30 minute drive to stunning beaches and rugged coast lines. Perfect bolt hold when exploring this part of the country.

The owner had gone out of her way to welcome us and our dog. Beverley is well positioned for access to York, Hull and East Riding. The property has a washing machine rather than a dishwasher. The parking permit worked well. The stairs are steep but really enjoyed the wood burner. Overall a lovely cottage and many nice touches to welcome us.

Could benefit from having a book of instructions stating when recycling needs to be put out as we are happy to do this rather than the owner turning up to do it. Also location of ironing board etc as we discovered it on our departure . We received a very warm welcome with cake, wine and dog treats. Walking distance to Beverley Town Centre and a good base and easy to drive to Filey , Bridlington , Scarborough etc, will definitely return.. super fast fibre wi fi was great to have .

  • "Arrived 9 minutes to 3pm time to be able to get in the cottage, the cleaner was still there and she left about 3."

10pm, I think she felt a bit rushed, and some cleaning items were left in the bathroom window. The WiFi is rubbish, although our mobiles connected it just had the “radio spin” going round and round, the iPad would not connect at all. Someone had pulled out the cables from the tv and not bothered to put them back so we sorted this out. Unfortunately the shower head was leaking and causing a puddle in the bathroom, the bathroom blinds were very dirty. The cake, wine and dog treats are a nice touch and plenty of shampoos, and body wash left in the rooms should you forgot. My husband found the bed very comfortable. The location is good for Beverley and had some lovely meals in the local pubs/cafes.

I am terribly sorry that the stay did not match your expectations. The WiFi may be intermittent on the off chance and if this does happen, you can simply reset it which should solve the problem. I would like to assure yourself and our future guests that had you contacted me at the time, I would have been more than happy to put this right for you. You will be pleased to know that I have taken your comments on board and have since replaced the shower so this should no longer be a concern. Thank you very much for your comments and for taking the time to let us know your thoughts. Customer feedback is very important to help us continually improve our standards. Property Owner

  • "Loved our stay, the only observation is with regards to the Internet which was intermittent and kept freezing."

This is mainly down to being provided as a dongle, i think wifi should be installed to provide better service if advertising wifi. Very small observation, had a really nice stay and hope to visit again.

Thank you for your lovely comments. I am sorry that you had issues with the dongle. You'll be pleased to know that I have since upgraded the package so the speeds should be much more improved. Property Owner

  • "This house was ideal for our stay in Beverley."

It was very cosy and comfortable and close to town so no problem walking in. It was really quiet, no noise at night at all, couldn't believe we were so close to town and near other houses. There was no problem with parking overnight, lots of space on the road outside the house. The house is just outside the parking controlled area, so some parking of commuter traffic during the day. There is easy access to the coast, half an hour to Hornsea which is a lovely small seaside town, and 45mins to Bridlington which has more to offer. Also easy reach with good road links to Hull, York and the Wolds, so ideal centre for a holiday. I would be happy to stay here again.
