The property

An intimate couple's retreat awaits at The Hideaway, a quirky and cosy apartment situated in Boroughbridge town centre, in reach of the spa town of Harrogate and York city centre.

The apartment is also ideally situated for visiting the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors and Coast.

Enter the property which rests above the owner's fabulous boutique shop, and immerse yourself in the characterful cottage, featuring original beams and a gorgeous feature fireplace upstairs.

The ground floor holds a handy kitchenette for all your self-catering needs, a lovely spot to whip up a quick breakfast before heading out on a day of adventure.

Head up the stairs to a snug bedroom and living area, here you can catch up over a bottle of wine in the intimate seating area, or tuck into a tasty takeaway before unwinding in the glorious double bed with a good book before a long sleep.

Also on this floor is a handy shower room, fitted with a spacious walk-in shower and a toasty heated rail, providing lots of space to get ready for a day outdoors or a romantic evening out with your loved one.

Step out of the cottage and into the atmospheric town of Boroughbridge, a charming centre where you can browse a selection of local shops, and enjoy delicious food at quaint cafés, lovely restaurants, and local pubs.

Take a romantic stroll along the tranquil River Ure, offering opportunities for a gentle evening walk, fishing activities, or boating at the nearby marina.

Spend a day at the superb Staveley Nature Reserve, enjoying scenes of idyllic nature and meeting the local birds, otters, and plant life, a wonderful day trip for nature lovers.

Boroughbridge is a small town and civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire, England. Historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, it is situated approximately 16 miles north-west from the county town of York. The town has a great collection of cafes, restaurants and cosy pubs. There is easy access onto the canal and beautiful walks along the River Ure with many boats and the opportunity to do some fishing. Staveley Nature Reserve is nearby where the superb wetland habitat offers regular sightings of birds, otters and several species of orchid. The village of Aldborough is within easy walking distance where you will find many Roman remains. The annual Aldborough and Boroughbridge Show is a fabulous day out for all the family and the Northern Aldborough Festival is one of the most prestigious classical music events in the country. Boroughbridge is a fantastic base for Knaresborough, Harrogate, Ripon and York.
