  • "10/10, 5 star experience!"

What a fantastic little cottage, in a beautiful village. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in recommending this place. We attended with our very small dog and found it had absolutely everything we could wish for. Shops/pubs/takeaway/restaurant all within very easy reach, and plenty of places of interest to visit. Georgina made us feel very welcome. Thank you for allowing us to stay

  • "Hideaway is quite unique, quirky, and wonderful, as is the owner."

A warm welcome Georgina met us on arrival, and explained the layout. Everything is near, shops, cafes “also unusual “ , and a park. Easy to unload the car outside then use the car park practically next door. ‘You have to pay, yet it’s cheap’ . I go away to study and this place facilitated influence. I would study on an evening down stairs in the shop which was I interesting. Clean comfortable bed, cosy atmosphere in the home. If your looking to have an unusual adventure, the hideaway offers such an experience. Will return.

Thank you very much for your feed back , it was nice to meet you both , also the little art work of the Hideaway that you did and that you left in the guest book together with feed back there too is appreciated . Property Owner

It is a small place as listed but felt like home to us whilst there. Really lovely friendly host, who also supplies a list and leaflets of what is around the area, highly recommend a stay here.

  • "Sweet and beautiful little cottage."

Met by Georgina, the lovely owner and given a very warm welcome. Georgina showed us around the cottage and explained how to use the appliances etc. The surprise was the accommodation is incorporated into and above a sweet little vintage shop which remains closed whilst guests are staying and so we were allowed to use the large table and dining chairs in the shop, this is also where the kitchenette is situated. The cottage is really clean, beautifully and tastefully decorated, warm and secure. The one and only downside is there are only two wooden dining chairs upstairs with which to relax on other than stretching out on the bed (which is very comfortable). Georgina left us a Welcome pack along with a large bowl of fruit and a cake. She also gave us a very generous gift. I highly recommend this cosy, delightful little cottage and the friendliness and generosity of the owner, Georgina.

  • "The Hideaway is a cosy little cottage."

As it's a functioning shop, that's closed during your visit, you only really have upstairs to relax. It's right in the heart of Boroughbridge, close to shops, bars & restaurants. I would definitely love to stay here again.

The owner warm and friendly. There was a welcome pack which was nice. The place was spotless. The bed is very comfortable. Best week's sleep we've had in years. The car park is convenient. Very quiet despite being on the town' main street. Would definitely want to go again.

  • "This was ideal accommodation for two for a few days."

Perfectly placed in the centre of delightful Boroughbridge, booking-in was straightforward and the owner gave us a comprehensive tour of the facilities. A TV has been added since the photos were taken. The heating was more than adequate, easy to adjust and kept us snug in very chilly weather. The only addition we would make would be a microwave.

Thankyou for your lovely feed back about your stay at The Hideaway , happy that you had a lovely time . I have taken your comment on board about the addition of a microwave in the property , happy to say that a microwave has been purchased for the added comfort of future guests as well as the mini oven and hob . • "It is tiny - but perfectly formed."

The owner has gone to great trouble to successfully fit everything into a very small space. There is a large free car park close by, interesting and quirky shops, the bed is very comfortable and the whole place immaculate. It is a perfect example of what can be achieved in a very small space. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily re-book. Warmly recommended..
