So tranquil, peaceful and relaxing. A real little gem. Gorgeous views of surrounding fields with bleating sheep and lambs and lots of wonderful wildlife from a sunny seating area in back garden and the moors very close by. Whitby with it's abbey, Staithes and Saltburn great places to visit and within easy travelling distance. Local village of Danby very prettty, enjoyed a nice coffee sitting on a bench on the village green watching the sheep relax under the trees. Sheer bliss! Wish we could have stayed longer. It was ideal having the on suite as well as the bathroom which saved us time getting ready. The nearby cafe and local pub were just a few minutes walk away. We did not find anything to fault: this cottage is probably the nearest to being "at home" that we have rented. The location is excellent, with so much to do both locally, and a little further afield. We had excellent local walks and trips to Castle Howard, Ormesby Hall and Whitby, all of which are comfortable drives away. If you want to eat out, we found the local pub and The Eskdale in nearby Castleton to be excellent. Reviewed by Patrick4.7★Oct 2022 "The cottage had everything we needed and more."
