The property

Situated in the small rural village of Brandesburton, is this charming whitewashed, traditional picturesque cottage.

Well placed between the market towns of Hornsea, Beverley and Driffield, it provides the perfect retreat for families to explore both the nearby seaside resorts and the rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds.

Beautifully restored to a high standard, this very pretty property retains much of the original character, with beamed ceilings and slate flagged floors.

The inviting sitting room has comfy sofas, set around a feature fireplace with an electric 'woodburner' stove for a cosy feel.

The dining table is to one side, while a door leads into the modern kitchen, complete with a breakfast bar for two.

Head up the stairs to the two tasteful bedrooms and family bathroom, with an additional contemporary shower room on the ground floor - ensuring no queues in the morning.

To the front of the property is a pleasant gravelled area, where you can sit and enjoy a morning coffee.

A short stroll along the road road brings you to the local amenities, including two village inns serving food, a shop and a bakery.

It is a prime cycling and walking district, with numerous walking trails and gentle rolling hills.

The historic minster town of Beverley, with its extensive common pastures of Westwood and racecourse, is just a few minutes drive, along with affluent shops and trendy cafes.

Walk the long sandy beaches at Hornsea, with its colourful ornamental gardens, along with Hornsea Mere, where you can partake in boating and water activities.

Art lovers may wish to follow the Hockney trail in the Yorkshire Wolds, where he took inspiration for his famous paintings.

The surrounding area has much to do and see, with the nearby stately homes of Burton Agnes Hall, Sledmere House, Sewerby Hall and Burton Constable Hall all worth a visit.

A superb base for an excellent holiday any time of the year.

“We had a lovely time in this cottage, it is what it says on the tin ‘Snug’ but lovely.”

There was me and my partner and 3 children and 2 dogs and we managed just fine. You have everything you need in a home. Great location with so much option of stuff to do. 2 nice local pubs in walking distance, we would definitely stay here again. The couple who live on site are very welcoming and make you feel comfortable
