  • "It was a lovely clean cottage in a great spot for exploring North Yorkshire but the heating was locked and so it got very cold overnight so not good for older people also duvets did not fit the bed very well."

But we had a lovely time.

Hello Peter, We are glad that you had a lovely time and thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We are a bit disappointed that you didn’t call us because the heating isn’t locked and other guests have commented how warm and toasty Cloverleaf is. There are operating instructions left in the cottage however we would have been happy to run through it over the phone or pop down and show you how it works. The duvet is the correct size for the bed. We are glad that it didn’t spoil your holiday.

  • "Lovely cottage, had everything we needed."

The cottage was very clean. The little gas fire in the front room meant we were warm and toasty.. Owners were responsive to any questions or queries. The cottage was in walking distance of town with a variety of shops and eateries to choose from. There's allocated parking at the rear, but there's parking at the front as well( which was great for loading / unloading the car)

Thank you so much Karina for your lovely review. We love hearing from our guests. We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at Cloverleaf Cottage and that you found the location convenient. We look forward to welcoming you again in the future.

  • "Cloverleaf cottage is perfectly situated in Pickering to be within walking distance of local amenities and has its own parking space."

The cottage had everything we needed in terms of facilities. The only item we would add to the inventory would be an extra pillow for the single room but that's just the choice of my teenage son. A house number on the bin would be helpful, a lovely gentleman helped me put the bin out and he had put it back whilst we were out or I'd have had no idea which was ours. The standards of cleanliness were high and the provision of a couple of toilet rolls, a kitchen roll, washing up liquid and sponge, hand soap, salt & pepper, and the gift of wine and biscuits made us feel very welcome so thank you. The patio seating was a welcome area to relax in due to the extreme heat - the apple tree was laden with fruit and it was fun ducking under its branches! We would not hesitate in recommending Cloverleaf cottage, great communication from Mark & Alison before, during, and after our stay.

Hello, Lucy, we're glad to hear that you enjoyed your visit. We appreciate the feedback and we look forward to seeing you again in the future. You've only just missed out because in a couple of weeks the apples will be ready, it's been a bit of a bumper crop this year!
