  • "We loved the cottage - so much that we are back there next week!"

  • "Great cottage in a fab location."

Cosy and well thought through in terms of fixtures and fittings and equipment. Welcome wine, cake and basic supplies was greatly appreciated. Garden enjoys plenty of sun til mid afternoon and can hear the sea when the wind drops which is great. Easy to park less than 50 metres away. I would definitely go back.

Hello Caroline and thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We try to present the cottage as we would like to find it ourselves and are always delighted to hear that guests have enjoyed their stay. We look forward to welcoming you back one day soon. Kind regards, Ali and Michael. Property Owner

  • "This cottage was very comfortable and well situated for the seafront."

It contained all the facilities anyone could want. The kitchen was well equipped, but quite small as was the second bedroom: ideal for two people but would be a squash for a family. The biggest problem was the parking as the terrace does not front a road and luggage has to be carried from the adjacent street. We never knew whether this street would have a parking space available when we returned to the cottage and we often had to park further away. No doubt, this inconvenience is reflected in the modest price, which was appreciated this year when so many owners seem to have taken advantage of the increased demand for "staycations". Overall, we felt this cottage offered good value for the rental fee.

Appreciated thoughtful welcome pack & flowers. Excellent location for beach, harbour, town on foot and for Scarborough, Filey, Bempton etc by car. Enclosed garden with well cut lawn was perfect for our dog. Parking permit allowed plenty of nearby parking. We look forward to visiting again soon and would definitely recommend

  • "Could not recommend this property."

Downstairs toilet door fell off due to rotted fittings, freezer sitting on top of washer, next to toilet. Bedroom curtain came off rail due to insufficient fittings. Limited time to shower due to shower tray backing up with water. Had to wash the inside doormat,as it was filthy. Unclean and unkept would have come home early but this holiday was for my six year old grandson. I do have photo's to back up what l say

  • "We had a fabulous stay at 3 North View Terrace."

The house is very well appointed with attention to detail of the small things too (shampoo, lovely welcome pack, milk in the fridge, tea bags, dishwasher tablets etc) we have stayed at many places who don't even provide tea towels. The bedding, towels were of a high quality, again, not many places go to this level. The house was very cosy on some very cold days and the log burner was a lovely touch for a cosy night in. Highly recommend

  • "After reading other feed backs I can truthfully say that they are very accurate."

This holiday let is by far the best that I have stayed in, the quality of bed linen and towels are that of a really good hotel and it is equipped with all the utensils that you required. The only thing missing is a freezer but I don't know how they could put one in as all the cottage space is used to it's best advantage. Children are also extremely made to feel welcome by the amount of items for their entertainment.. It is located in an ideal situation just a short walk into the town centre, beaches and harbour and a good eating pub just around the corner. My husband and I are in our 80s and we had a wonderful time here in this cottage

  • "3 North View was an absolutely fabulous holiday home ."

It was warm , comfortable and spotlessly clean . Everything we could possibly need was provided, including crisp white bedding and immaculate towels , as well as a well equipped kitchen . It is literally 5 mins walk to shops , cafes and beach and a five minute drive to supermarket. The area is beautiful and beach is dog friendly ( as are some pubs and cafes ) and the locals are helpful and friendly . The house has its own secure garden . There are literally no suggestions for improvement, we will be visiting again and would not hesitate to recommend this holiday home to anyone looking for the ideal sea side retreat x

The cottage is not easy to find, and parking is not always convenient but is close enough, but for the price the cottage is one of the best value Sykes cottages we have had. All credit to the owner. We had a lovely week, and the weather was really good too!
