  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Reggie’s Place."

It is in a great location and we enjoyed walks on the beach front everyday as well as venturing a little further. Shops, Tesco local and take aways minutes walk away, great pizzas! Our little dog loved the garden and sniffed every inch of it! It’s a lovely quiet road too. The driveway is easy to get in and out of, we had no trouble in our SUV. The kitchen is well equipped and the bed was really comfortable.

The bungalow is well equipped for the stay we had and couldn’t have wished for a better stay. The orthopaedic mattress is not for everyone although this didn’t detract from a great stay. Many thanks and we will be back.

  • "Our first holiday with our Romanian rescue, Dusty."

Reggie’s Place was perfect for us. Comfortable, clean, all facilities we needed, 5 minute walk to the beach and great enclosed garden which was a sun trap in the afternoon. Shops snd takeaways a couple of minutes away. I loved my early morning beach walks with Dusty. The coastal path overlooks the beach and Dusty enjoyed trying to catch the many rabbits along there. We even had sunshine all week. What’s more to like? All in all a perfect week.

  • "Really friendly hosts and the cottage is really close to the sea front and plenty of take away outlets and shops."

We explored the coastline all the way up as far a Whitby and across to York from here, all a maximum of 1 hour drive. The only thing we could find at fault is the shower is not great, but we have good power showers at home so not what we are used to. We really felt at home while we were there and would definitely stay there again.

  • "Fantastic sea side holiday!"

Reggie’s place was so comfortable, best nights sleep I’ve had whilst on holiday. Location was perfect for us too, close to the beach (few minutes at most), and what a beautiful dog friendly beach it was! Stunning views, lovely cliff walks, and a short enjoyable walk along the sea front if you want the hustle & bustle of the town. We enjoyed visiting Danes Dyke & Bempton cliffs both close by. We saw lots of sea birds, but also spent a day in the shops & even had a whizz around the bay on a power boat. The bungalow had everything to meet our needs and we enjoyed family nights in, also had a few cheeky take aways as plenty of places nearby. We’ll definitely be back & would like to thank the owners for sharing this place with us! The little welcome pack was a lovely touch too. (Only negative, and I’m splitting hairs here, but the shower might need a little tweak, none of us for the life of us could get it to a good temperature, either hot or cold, but like I said it’s not put us off, it was a lovely stay) xx!

We enjoyed it so much that we booked again for next year before we came home. Very well equipped, beds really comfortable and we appreciated the welcome basket, also the information for the property and the local area. It was helpful to have a separate toilet and the walk in shower made it perfect for us. We used phones, IPad and laptop with no problems though BBC iPlayer was a bit hit and miss but this didn't affect our enjoyment. It was lovely to have a garden and outside space. We did need to take 2 cars (Honda CRV + HRV) and managed to get them both on the drive but it's not as big as it looks in the photo as there's a wall at the front.

  • "The position was good with a shop and the beach so close."

The bungalow was spacious and comfortable. The garden was nice. On arrival we had to wipe out the fridge as it had not been done. The worktops were sticky. The bottom rack on the fridge door was broken and as we put in a 2pint bottle of milk, it and the rack fell to the floor. There was an unpleasant smell in the sitting room. We never did fathom out how the TV worked. It is the end of what must have been a busy season, but the bungalow is in need of a deep clean.

o sorry that you encountered problems with our property. The fridge door was damaged recently by a guest, we are sourcing a replacement. All surfaces and floors are cleaned at every change over. Whilst we open all the windows when cleaning, any residual smells from the previous guests ( cooking, cosmetics etc) are out of our control. The television works through a FreeSat box due to poor reception in the area. Instructions are provided in the information book. In the past guests who struggled have sought our help. Little grassed square a hundred yards away to walk your dog with a secluded and secure back yard and garden to keep children or dog safe. Layout is a bit odd but no great issues with that or anything else to do with the property. Worth knowing that the road is one-way and that although you could park a couple of cars whichever parking space I chose it was either a bit tricky or only just fitted my RAV4.

Our only criticism was no sink in the toilet which was separate to the shower. which we could see would be awkward to put in hence the hand gel. The information to the bungalow was also outdated as it was referring to a hot tub which wasn't there. It made an ideal area though for keeping mobility scooters. we didn't have to keep putting them away in the car every night. All in all we had a pleasant stay and would consider going again. Great for elderly if you can manage the step up.
