  • "This was our second stay at Reggie's Place."

As a bungalow, it had everything we needed as senior visitors- ground floor bedrooms, walk in shower, separate wc. The beds were extremely comfortable, I had the best night's sleep for a very long time. Lots of outdoor space for us and my dog to enjoy. The kitchen was well equipped. It was a definite bonus to have off road parking, we took 2 cars which filled the space, but plenty of room for one car. Perfect location, 5 minutes walk to the quieter North Beach, there's a dog friendly cafe, good food and very reasonably priced, and fish and chip shop there, though we didn't ever see it open. 2 minutes walk in the other direction there's a Tesco Extra, bakery, a great Italian takeaway, Unica, and a great fish and chip shop, Ship to Shore. There are Chinese and Indian takeaways that deliver. South Beach and the harbour are a short drive away. We were also able to visit Filey, Scarborough, Hornsea and Flamborough Head. The owners were very helpful. We would definitely recommend Reggie's Place, we would book again for next year if it's still a rental property.

  • "The negatives - The enclosed back garden had accessibility down the side of the house leading to the drive, my dog could have easily got over the gate."

We had to block it off with a wheelie bin. The wifi was very intermittent. The skirting boards were filthy and there was mould inside the patio doors. It’s definitely not worth nearly £1000 for the week! The positives - The bungalow is in a great location near the beach and the shops/ takeaways.

Wow!, we have never had such a horrible review like this before. Especially from someone who has left our holiday cottage in such a messy state. Dog hair everywhere, Stained sheets, filthy bathroom, I could go on. In short, this was our worst clean to date. Phoned up demanding extra plates because you having guests over,, which really isn’t on. The garden is fully enclosed and never had any complaints from other dog owners. We are so proud of our holiday cottage, and meticulously clean it between every change over. We cut the grass and tidy up the outside every time. Each year we have returning guests who love Reggie’s place. Admittedly some of the skirting boards need a coat of paint and other little jobs may need doing, but can only be done at the seasons end where we are not constantly booked out which new guests. The problem here is, you bought a weeks holiday in August for four adults at a 3 star price and expected 5 star accommodation…. … Property Owner

This is our second visit to Reggie’s Place and we’ll definitely be booking again. Comfortable beds, feel at home and an excellent location. Minutes from the beach, tucked away on a quiet close, with take aways and a Tesco just around the corner. Everything is in walking distance, and only a short drive to Bempton Cliffs where we managed to see Puffins again even though we were really early in the season! Thank you for the thoughtful welcome pack, and if you have any issues the owners are very responsive and couldn’t be more helpful! Looking forward to the next time!

It is in a great location and we enjoyed walks on the beach front everyday as well as venturing a little further. Shops, Tesco local and take aways minutes walk away, great pizzas! Our little dog loved the garden and sniffed every inch of it! It’s a lovely quiet road too. The driveway is easy to get in and out of, we had no trouble in our SUV. The kitchen is well equipped and the bed was really comfortable.

Shops snd takeaways a couple of minutes away. I loved my early morning beach walks with Dusty. The coastal path overlooks the beach and Dusty enjoyed trying to catch the many rabbits along there. Reggie’s place was so comfortable, best nights sleep I’ve had whilst on holiday. Location was perfect for us too, close to the beach (few minutes at most), and what a beautiful dog friendly beach it was! Stunning views, lovely cliff walks, and a short enjoyable walk along the sea front if you want the hustle & bustle of the town. We enjoyed visiting Danes Dyke & Bempton cliffs both close by. We saw lots of sea birds, but also spent a day in the shops & even had a whizz around the bay on a power boat. The bungalow had everything to meet our needs and we enjoyed family nights in, also had a few cheeky take aways as plenty of places nearby. We’ll definitely be back & would like to thank the owners for sharing this place with us! The little welcome pack was a lovely touch too. (Only negative, and I’m splitting hairs here, but the shower might need a little tweak, none of us for the life of us could get it to a good temperature, either hot or cold, but like I said it’s not put us off, it was a lovely stay) xx!

We enjoyed it so much that we booked again for next year before we came home. Very well equipped, beds really comfortable and we appreciated the welcome basket, also the information for the property and the local area. It was helpful to have a separate toilet and the walk in shower made it perfect for us. We used phones, IPad and laptop with no problems though BBC iPlayer was a bit hit and miss but this didn't affect our enjoyment. It was lovely to have a garden and outside space. We did need to take 2 cars (Honda CRV + HRV) and managed to get them both on the drive but it's not as big as it looks in the photo as there's a wall at the front.

The bungalow was spacious and comfortable. The garden was nice. On arrival we had to wipe out the fridge as it had not been done. The worktops were sticky. The bottom rack on the fridge door was broken and as we put in a 2pint bottle of milk, it and the rack fell to the floor. There was an unpleasant smell in the sitting room. We never did fathom out how the TV worked. It is the end of what must have been a busy season, but the bungalow is in need of a deep clean.

o sorry that you encountered problems with our property. The fridge door was damaged recently by a guest, we are sourcing a replacement. All surfaces and floors are cleaned at every change over. Whilst we open all the windows when cleaning, any residual smells from the previous guests ( cooking, cosmetics etc) are out of our control. The television works through a FreeSat box due to poor reception in the area. Instructions are provided in the information book. In the past guests who struggled have sought our help. Little grassed square a hundred yards away to walk your dog with a secluded and secure back yard and garden to keep children or dog safe. Layout is a bit odd but no great issues with that or anything else to do with the property.
