  • "Had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and would have been a five star rating apart from one thing."

The bedroom with it's own bathroom is quite small which is not a big deal but it's bathroom is at the end of a corridor between two other bedrooms and it's a creakie walk to it. The others are excellent. Would recommend and definitely go again.

Thank you for your positive feedback, glad you enjoyed staying at rivendell, Sorry if the creaking floorboards caused a problem but don't think i can do much as the house is 120 years old and has had extensive modernisation over the years with floors being lifted and replaced etc. Property Owner

  • "Gorgeous house, beautiful hot tub, so spacious!"

Beautiful house, plenty of room for a family of 13!! We met some of our family members who live in Scotland whilst we live in London; this was a lovely, spacious house of which was beautifully kept and well designed. The bar was a lovely extra and we felt right at home. Hot tub was amazing! Cleaned thoroughly everyday. This house really did cater for us all. The dining table was massive and made having family dinners so homely! Big thank you to the owners for having us all. We will return in the future :)

glad you had a great family week in Bridlington and the house played it's part!! Thank you for your kind comments and we look forward to your next visit. Property Owner

Three generations in a brilliant house which delivered much more than we expected. Rivendell was the perfect base, only minutes from the beach. The property felt like home immediately. There is so much space, room for everyone to do whatever they wanted. The hot tub was such a success. The grandchildren and adults alike loved it. Bridlington is a beautiful resort, the promenade is superb. You feel like the town is really loved, it is so clean and the people are very friendly. There are numerous, bars, restaurants and cafes, something to suit everyone. Thankyou Ian and Lynn.

With plenty of space. Take own towels or robes for hot tub. Ones provided are tiny. Friendly welcome when we arrived. Everything from shop, pub, beach very close. Good location

Glad you enjoyed your stay, not sure about your comments on 'tiny' towels, every bedroom is set up with 2 double towels, 2 single towels and 2 facecloths plus liquid soap with toiletries available in the ground floor WC. We are always around if any guests need any extras during their stay. Property Owner

Thank you for your nice comments, We put the big TV in the open plan area so anybody cooking etc could interact with their fellow guests and not be left out of things, maybe we will upgrade the 40" in the lounge in the future. Property Owner

  • "The owners met us when we arrived which was lovely & they had left us some fab cakes."

We knew the property was attached but were unaware that the owners live in the back garden almost. The driveway was shared with the owners walking in & out to their own property. Not ideal for our dog who would always bark at them. However we still enjoyed our holiday. The location was perfect for my 87 yr old dad who was not great on his legs & managed to walk to the seafront which he enjoyed. The hot tub was ideal for all ages. My grandsons loved it as well as the adults. Lovely holiday & good parking facilities.

Thank you for your comments, We are glad you enjoyed your stay at our house. Your comments about your dog always barking at us are correct and we have concluded that because of various problems resulting from allowing dogs to stay in our holiday home we will no longer be allowing dogs from 2022. • "It was a perfect house for our three family Christmas get-together."

Fairly open plan for cooking/eating/socialising, but with a separate lounge if the noise got too much! Everyone loved the bar, and there was more crockery, glasses and cutlery than I’ve ever seen in a house rental. The owners were very close by but unobtrusive. They were also very thoughtful, having decorated the house for Christmas, and left us tea and cakes when we arrived. The location was superb, right by the beach, and with a one-stop shop and several takeaways round the corner. It was easily walkable along the front into Bridlington, even as far as the Spa where we watched the Christmas panto. Only the children used the hot tub but all enjoyed it. All bedrooms were very similar and comfortable, which made the job of picking rooms very simple.

really pleasing to know you had a wonderful christmas in our holiday home and enjoyed your holiday in Bridlington. Property Owner

Ages 7 to 60+). There was something to meet all needs from the WI FI to the hot tub which went down a treat. Exceptionally well equipped a literal home from home. This property was much nearer than the seat front promenade than anticipated. Plenty of information available including places of interest to visit, takeaways and how to use the facilities. The washer and dryer are great for after using the hot tub. The beds were very comfortable. All areas immaculately clean. Modern kitchen. The separate dining area seats 12 and is great for getting all the family together. Highly recommend

The layout was great, including the large dining table, and we loved the original bar still in situ from the B&B era! Jacuzzi was a fab addition, though walkway through garden adjoining owners accomodation (to get to jacuzzi) could have been more lit up as pathway was a struggle to see on a dark evening. Accommodation was warm, well equipped and comfortable. All rooms had double beds and only one of the 6 rooms was not en suite, which was a minor irritation. Obviously this was the least popular room. Two minutes from town centre and beach. Twenty minute brisk walk from the Spa where we were entertained by Jack and he beanstalk. A great 4 day break

The hot tub and garden was lovely although you do have to walk past the owners private residence to teach the hotub. That said, the owners were lovely and happy to help with anything. Excellent furnishings including a new kitchen with quality appliances. Seating in either the lounge area or kitchen diner is plentiful and gives a group options to have their own space if needed. Nice to have a bar facility as well (unstocked of course!). Rooms are cozy. The description doesn't make it 100% clear about the en-suite facilities. Five rooms have their own and the sixth room has use of the house bathroom a few steps away across the landing. Parking is behind the building for up to five cars and there's room for another at the front. The owners are very welcoming indeed and live at the back of the premises. They are there if you need them, but otherwise leave yo to your own devices once they have done the initial welcome. Finally, the hot tub in the garden is superb! We'll be back - excellent value for money. Thank you!
