  • "We had booked this for the New Year weekend, myself, hubby, with 4 of our 5 children and partners and our 7 grandkids (age range 2-62)."

It was exactly as described, plenty of room for all the party, clean and plenty of cutlery, pots pans etc. Amenities and facilities as described with beach just down the road. We had everything we needed and we all had a fantastic time. Would definitely recommend.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us this great feedback and recommendation of us to others. We are really pleased you enjoyed all aspects of your stay and we look forward to having you again. Kind Regards Alison Property Owner

Close to shops and beach. Ample seating for meals and relaxing. Ample crockery and cutlery too. Great place for large families.

  • "Well equipped and plenty of space for our party of 18."

Even having a full day of rain in August we were able to be comfortable and spread out doing things in the house. Good location for the north beach and not far from the shops, and activities in town. Plenty to do in the area too.

Many thanks for taking the time to leave us this review regarding all aspects of your stay and your recommendation of us to others. We do hope that you will stay with us again in the future with hopefully sunnier days in August! Kind Regards Alison Property Owner

  • "On arrival we found that the cleaner had forgotten to clean inside the fridge."

We informed the owner who is very approachable and helpful. I am sure this oversight will not happen again. The rest of the house was very clean and tidy. My family get together comprised 16 adults, 2 children, 1 baby and two dogs. Everyone agreed they would like to stay at Ryburn Lodge again. The property is accurately described and is a very comfortable house with ample cutlery, crockery and glasses for large parties. The two lounges are very comfortable and all bedrooms are as described with spare blankets for chilly nights. We had a wonderful stay and used the information in the guidebook provided to entertain the children ant nearby entertainment centres and do sight seeing at Danes Dyke, Bempton Cliffs, and Flamborough lighthouse. All in all Ryburn Lodge is an ideal house for a large family/friends get together and we’ll positioned for entertainment in Bridlington and or scenic walks to watch seabirds and seals.

  • "A group of 15 comprising keen board gamers and "normal" people had a most enjoyable week."

The place is in a nice location, close to a Tesco Express and three takeaway restaurants, although we were not too enamoured of the fish & chips place or the Chinese takeaway; then again, Bridlington does not want for takeaway restaurants, and the centre of town is only a 10 minute walk away. Many British seaside towns are noted for their faded grandeur so I was a bit worried that Ryburn Lodge might have "seen better days" but the place was well-maintained and nicely decorated. There was not enough parking for the 8 cars we rolled up in but this is mentioned on the property description so no complaints there. A kindly neighbour allowed us to park two cars in front of his garage so in the end only one of us had to park on the street, five minutes' walk away. There was a problem with the central heating on the first floor but this was promptly rectified. There are loads of things to do in Bridlington and surrounding areas, as outlined in the excellent "Welcome" booklet. On the constructive feedback front, some people said the towels could have been "a bit bigger and thicker". One person grumbled about the pillows lacking fluffiness. No one complained that the beds were uncomfortable but a couple of people would have liked nicer bed linen. Everyone's an interior designer these days ... The lighting in the dining room was "warm", which is fine for most things but terrible for playing board games so I went into town to Argos to get a couple of uplighters. I realise this is a very niche criticism :) Were it not for the fact that we like to go to a different place every year, we all agreed we would happily holiday at Ryburn Lodge - even those of us who can't quite get used to chips cooked in lard.

Many thanks for taking the time to leave us this thorough regarding all aspects of your stay and your recommendation of us to others. We do hope that you will stay with us again in the future. Kind Regarsd Alison Property Owner

We really enjoyed our stay! Had pretty much everything even a washing machine! It was close to pretty much everything so location was perfect! It was quite tricky to get hold of the owners but any issues we did have would get sorted pretty quickly as soon as we got through to them.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us this great feedback and recommendation of the property to others. We are very pleased you enjoyed all aspects of your visit. We look forward to you staying with us again in the future. Kind Regards : Alison Property Owner
