The owner stated there had never been one and was not prepared to buy one! Perhaps a a more careful scrutiny of details about her property might help. The issue hinted that cut and paste might have be used somewhere. The seating in the cottage was a big problem. We checked everything on entry to the property as we always do, to find that the arm on the lounge chair was loose and we were reluctant to use it. This was reported to Sykes. The sofa was WELL worn with seating low and no cushioning and it "dipped" in the middle. We had to pile cushions on the seats to give us some degree of comfort. A pity that these things have not been looked at and replaced as the cottage was wonderful in positioning and everything else about it was brilliant. Lovely well equipped kitchen and shower was heaven.

Many thanks for your email and the DVD has now been removed from the website and we apologise for this error. We were sorry to hear that you found the sofa uncomfortable as nobody has mentioned this previously but we were pleased that you were very happy with the rest of Ramblers Court. - Sykes owner relations

The property

This modern semi-detached stone clad cottage is located in Sleights, North Yorkshire, only four miles from the picturesque coastline, and a wonderful touring base for the likes of Whitby, and Robin Hood's Bay.

The lounge/diner is presented with an electric effect woodburner to elevate those cooler nights, and a collection of lovely seating, including a sumptuous sofa, arm chair, and a contemporary dining table for four people.

As the night draws in, what better way to catch the sunset, than in your very own conservatory, brought to life by views of nature, and a light, airy ambience.

Continue through to the kitchen, with its stylish breakfast bar.

Upstairs, discover the two bedrooms, the first double welcomes in those beautiful hillside views, whilst the single room benefits from a pull-out bed should you wish to alternate the set-up.

Two fabulous shower rooms tie the cottage together well, one situated on the first floor, and the other is located on the lower level.
