We found Londesborough Cottage to be the best equpped and most comfortable cottage we have visited so far and don't hesitate to recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet 'away from it all' break but within easy reach of many of Yorkshire's fine towns and villages. This is not your average dog friendly cottage, this is a well appointed home that has been well maintained. The cottage is ideal for a couple or small family (we were a party of 2 adults, 1 child and 1 dog) and we were surprised at how quiet and peaceful it was at night. We have probably never slept better whilst on holiday. The owner provided useful information in advance to make sure we got the most from the week and we were lucky in having hot sunny weather for most of the time. Sykes were as efficient as ever from the initial booking through to making sure we had all the information we needed. Needless to say, we will be booking Londesborough Cottage again next year.

The property

This pretty cottage sits among the peace and quiet of Irton on the outskirts of the village of Seamer; a characterful accommodation with an inviting welcome and charming feel.

With tasteful décor and high-quality throughout, you will be delighted to base your family holiday here.

The galley kitchen layout works well with the space, benefiting from lots of useful appliances and a breakfast bar.

Just off from here lies a single room, an ideal little hideout for a child to get lost in their fun and games.

Step across the hall to find a lovely, spacious double with a feature fireplace adding character to a bright and airy room.

Stroll on to the sitting room which exudes bags of charm and elegance with plush leather sofas and distinctive furnishings; sit and enjoy a read of the morning news or enjoy a good film together in front of the open fire.

The high ceilings really open up the room and the grand mirror above the fireplace adds class and style.

Out at the front is an elegant driveway and paved garden area lined with quaint details and beautiful plant pots.

This property is ideally located near the village of Seamer which hosts an array of local shops, a few pubs and restaurants.
