Beds very comfy the new shower was OK but water tends to spray off the end and wet round the bottom of the toilet but that's a minor issue didn't spoil our stay
"Very comfortable cottage with plenty of space in the main bedroom and the living area."
Kitchen well-appointed and the outside spaces are pretty, though small. The area is very good for walking and most places are very dog-friendly, you can generally eat in, in the bar in pubs etc.
"Enjoy stay, no problem, and everything was there what you needed."
Clean and warm . Hope to come again.
"Could not find anything to complain about, a perfect holiday cottage."
"Lovely little house has everything you need."
Parking ok for 1 large car. Nice village and good base for visiting some lovely sites
"Was a lovely and clean cottage, quiet location and very friendly people in the village."
Had everything we needed in the cottage , comfy beds too. Would come again for sure.
"Arrived to find a welcoming property that was very clean, light and airy."
The accommodation was very comfortable and provided an excellent base as I was undertaking a course nearby for a few days and then spending some time rediscovering the local area - the absolutely delightful Wensleydale. Its location was superb for such exploration including local walks from West Witton as well as places only a short drive away. It was great that the cottage had off-street parking. It was situated in a quiet cul-de-sac but with easy access to the main road along the Dale. I had one question of the owner who was very friendly and helpful when contacted. For anyone with bikes or equipment there's a garage for this, although I didn't require this on this occasion. I would definitely stop there again.
"A lovely cottage in a good location."
The cottage had everything you needed for your stay. I would be happy to revisit. A smaller casserole dish would be nice when you are only cooking for two people. A larger mat that did not move inside the front door would help to keep the area cleaner.
"We had a brilliant time."
It was very cosy.
"Very comfortable and well equipped cottage."
Excellent location with lots of walks from the village as well as easy access to tge beautiful Wensleydale valley.
"The cleanest and freshest cottage we have stayed in."
Nicely situated in a quiet cul-de-sac just off the main road. Rear patio area is a completely private sun trap. Only three to four minutes walk to both the village pubs. Well located for travelling around Wensleydale and further afield. The attractive town of Leyburn, with its extensive amenities is only four miles distant.
"Lovely clean cottage with everything you needed."
Ideally situated to explore the Dales , village shop and pub very friendly .
"Very clean, comfortable, everything we needed to enjoy a relaxing stay."
Happy it was away from the busy road.
"Overall excellent and comfortable cottage thank you"
"Great stay with everything you could need."
Lovely location with lots if walks nearby.
"We had a lovely stay in this cosy and quiet cottage in West Witton which had everything we needed - we would recommend it."
We would also recommend West Witton as a location - did several lovely walks from the front door and the village shop is good with friendly and helpful owners. The local bus service can take you up and down the dale.
"Excellent little cottage with all required amenities in place for a comfortable stay."
The welcome pack is nicely compiled, packed with all necessary and useful information. Location of the cottage is great, ideal for exploring this beautiful part of Yorkshire! Couple of suggestions for the information pack - 1. Include opening hours of the village convenience store 2. Mention that the Thursday Chippy van stops in from of the pub
"This was a lovely cottage for the two of us."
I think it is more suitable for two rather than four occupants. On arrival the cottage was spotlessly clean. Some lovely walks from the doorstep. We had a wonderfully relaxing holiday in a lovely cottage.
"Lovely cottage, well equipped and very comfortable."
Lovely views all round and excellent walks, waterfalls and breathtaking scenery wherever you go. We had a great holiday at Old School House.
"The accommodation was very comfortable for my husband, spaniel and I ."
There were many beautiful walks in West Witton and beyond from the doorstep. Can’t fault it .
"Cottage was lovely very comfortable I have only marked down as mattress on single bed too soft but that isa personal preference."
Covid 19 instructions for leaving clear but could not find the bags too place linen in but this is only a minor issue and we are all still adjusting to the Covid requirements. Overall the cottage was great, position for accessing walks locally was brilliant, village of West Witton very nice and a good pint served in the Fox and Hounds.
"I highly recommend this cottage and area for a stay in the Yorkshire Dales."
The cottage is homely and very comfortable. West Witton is idyllic and in a location ideal to travel to many other villages and historical places around the Dales. I wrote a diary of what we did during our week away which may give you some ideas for places to go - https://scottpendlebury.co.uk/2020-09-18-travel_diary_yorkshire_dales
"Excellent information provided about the local amenities and places to visit would definitely recommend"

Wonderful walking country. The cottage was warm and comfortable and a lovely Christmas hamper was provided.
"Thoroughly pleasant cottage, in a friendly village."
"This is a lovely cottage set in a friendly village."
Great walks straight from the door so easy to take the dog and children out. Very clean and comfortable. Loved the open fire. Lots to do in the area which made our holiday fun and relaxing.
"Owner and staff very helpful and accommodating."
A clean, comfortable and cosy cottage. Peaceful and central location for exploring the dales.
It was a delightful cottage in a lovely village in the glorious Yorkshire Dales.
"Very lovely cottage and very clean"
"Fabulous cottage that had everything we could have needed and more besides."
. Difficult to decide whether to stay in and relax in cottage or go out and about in the glorious dales.. We did both in the end!!! Amazingly clean, and spider free for those who have a spider phobia!!! Didn't want to leave, would recommend this cottage 100%.
"Very well presented cottage and ideally situated for us to explore The Yorkshire ..."
Very well presented cottage and ideally situated for us to explore The Yorkshire dales and more, cottage was cozy and comfortable, we will return
"The only and very minor negative was that there was no recycling bin at the cottage; we understand there should have been."
Hence, we accumulated quite a lot to take home with us.
"Lounge very small for 4 people cottage ideal for walking but a little quiet for other visitors."
Handy for a meal At Wensleydale Heifer which is excellent.
"A super location for visiting Wensleydale - a very relaxing break."
