    “Bootham Bolt Hole is a wonderful flat.”

    It is cosy, comfortable and well furnished. It is in a quiet street, a short walk into York Minster area. We enjoyed being able to leave the car in it’s allocated parking place, great to have parking included in the cost. We loved our week spent exploring York, coming back to stretch out on comfy settees, relaxing with a glass of wine. Loads of nice places to eat nearby with recommendations from the owner also. Will definitely be back.

The property

Bootham Bolt Hole is a second floor apartment nestled in a peaceful backwater, located in a quiet and leafy street, within the wonderful and historic city of York.

This superb apartment is an ideal base for a couple, but can also sleep four, and it's only a short stroll to the plethora of attractions in this most beautiful city.

This contemporary apartment has a boutique hotel feel having undergone a programme of renovation and remodelling.

The double bedroom offers a haven of comfort with a heavenly pocket strung mattress, whilst the living area offers a sofa bed with anti-allergy duvet and pillows that cleverly converts from a king-size bed to two singles; the choice is yours.

The separate shower room has a spa shower with waterfall feature, and the open plan living area is the perfect space to dine, relax and stream your favourite movie onto the Smart TV, whilst relaxing with a glass of wine.

Also from the lovely wooden double glazed sash window, which are wrapped with designer velvet full length curtains you can partially see the Minster during much of the year.

You're within an easy ten minute walk of most of York's major attractions, and although this property has allocated free car parking there's no need to take your car as it's only a 5 to 10 minute stroll from York train station, via a footbridge.

There's so much to see and do with the museum gardens, Yorkshire Museum, art gallery, River Ouse and Theatre Royal within 500 metres, and the famous York Minster is less than 650 metres from door to door.

A wonderful apartment for exploring York and beyond!

About the location

YORK

Leeds 25 miles;

The city of York needs no recommendation, for it teems with interest for the holidaymaker: the Minster, its medieval walls, boat trips on the River Ouse, York Races, museums(including the famous National Railway Museum and the Castle Museum), and the internationally-renowned Jorvik Viking Centre and its "time trip" experience.

Summer and winter, there is something to fascinate the whole family.

Explore York’s quaint streets and hidden corners, or take an excursion further afield to the Dales, Moors or the coastal resorts of Scarborough, Whitby and Filey.

Yorkshire is rich in stately homes, with Harewood House and Castle Howard just two of several within an hour’s drive.

A cycling city boasting two theatres, character pubs and great shopping, York has it all.
