  • "Heron Nest was a great place to stay."

    It’s just the right size for 2. Is comfortable and has everything you need. The garden is a massive positive if you have a dog and has garden furniture if the weather is good. Trish the host is welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much ☺️☺️☺️

  • "We enjoyed our 2nd stay in August at Herons Nest as much as the first one in July with everything perfect as before."

    Trish the owner is a lovely host and on hand should you need her. Our 2 dogs especially enjoy the very secure garden which is a bonus for us. We find Herons Nest is in a good location for getting around to see the sights and attractions in the area and we would definitely stay here again in the future.

  • "We had a lovely peaceful stay at Herons Nest with everything you could want."

    A great enclosed secure garden for the dogs which our 2 enjoyed. Herons Nest is situated in a good location for traveling to various visitor attractions. Trish the owner was very helpful situated nearby but not intrusive. We have booked another break for August and looking forward to our stay again.

    Clean and tidy everything we needed. Pub within 10 minutes drive. If you looking for some me time I would recommend you visit. Also my dog George had a blast.

    Situated perfectly for exploring the surrounding towns and villages, namely Scarborough, Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay .... a few lovely pubs within a short distance and many spectacular walks .. we hope to return for a longer stay in the future.

  • "Lovely apartment built in the roof space of a stone built triple garage in a quiet location near the main farm house."

    Very well thought out and use of space, ample room for a couple, cottage was cosy with everything needed for a pleasant stay. Trish was very pleasant and helpful on our arrival, nice touch to have milk, tea and coffee provided and a welcoming bottle of wine. Good location to visit north york moors and coast nothing too far away. Local shop and pubs short drive away. Really enjoyed our stay.

  • "Excellent place with a friendly host and all the facilities you need to make your stay perfect."

    A safe enclosed garden to let your dog roam also. Close to Whitby, Robin hoods bay and Scarborough for beach's and Dalby Forest for forest walks and mountainbike trails. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

    The garden being enclosed good for privacy & dog. It’s in rural position but good for walking, cycling & good base for travelling round the area. Host on end of phone if needed.
