  • "Lovely decorated home, with everything you need."

Walks straight across the road onto the fells. Enclosed garden for our dog and easy access to many places. Wonderful welcome basket and also treats for our dog. Would highly recommend.

  • "Had a great holiday in this comfortable well maintained cottage."

The owner Julia has made a really good job of the property and was very good in telling me about the area and what it had to offer. It's an ideal location for exploring this part of the Durham dales with plenty of walks and places to visit. Would really like to come back. Oh! and the Welcome basket was gratefully used. Thanks

  • "On arrival at Fellend House, we discovered there were many personal touches including fresh flowers, hand wash & hand cream, a welcome basket of goodies, a lovely bottle of wine chilling in the fridge with milk ready for a welcome cup of tea after our long journey."

Even the dog had a welcome pack, a bed, treats, a ball, poo bags, a towel for drying paws and dog dishes if required. Julia had thought of everything. The property was very clean and well equipped and just what we required for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Julia was very friendly, helpful and informative. The house is well situated and central for travelling to many attractions and eating places in the area. The property sits on the edge of a 600 acre common fell, where there are plenty of walks among the free roaming animal residents. A big thank you to Julia for making our stay so welcoming and comfortable, wishing you all the best in your new venture.
