  • "Friendly owners made us feel very welcome."

The cottage is small but cosy and very well furnished. The garden is a delight and fairly secure for dogs. The kitchen is fully equipped and a pleasure to cook in or the pub opposite is great and dog friendly if you want a night off. The welcome pack was lovely for humans and even better for the dog, in 20 years of self catering with pets I've never had toys and towels provided. Will certainly be back again

The property was very clean, tidy and had everything we needed and more, including a cute little welcome basket for our dog. The owners were lovely and very informative about the surrounding area and good places to visit which surely didn’t disappoint! Amari certainly exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be returning for another stay.

Thankyou Vicky for your feedback and your lovely comments in our guest book . It surely is a beautiful area to explore and glad we came up to your expectations with Amari . Hopefully will see you again even though you are a very long way away . Thankyou again Helen & Paul Property Owner

Amari had everything you needed and more for a home from home stay. Helen and her husband thought of everything that we needed has I visited with my disabled mum and came up with solutions for our sleeping arrangements. The amari is in a fantastic location, you can be in Scarborough or Filey within five minutes drive and the pub within one minute walk is a added bonus. Would I recommend it 100% would I go again 100%.

Thankyou for your comments Amanda . So Pleased you enjoyed your stay here . It’s not easy with an elderly relative but we try to do our best to meet the needs of individual guests . You’re right , the ideal location in a beautiful area . Hope to see you again . Helen and Paul Property Owner

  • "Comfortable and well equipped cottage in an ideal location for Yorkshire coast Moors and Wolds."

Good walks from the cottage. Well organised COVID-19 safe arrangements and well organised recycling facilities. Pub across the road (Foxhounds) seem to have COVID-19 arrangements sorted whether you go for takeaway fish and chips or eat in. Lightning fast broadband (first time I have ever stayed in a cottage where the broadband is faster than at home!) I, personally, would prefer a dishwasher to a washing machine but know others would prefer the washing machine. Parking is a bit challenging, best to back down the drive and into the parking space. I would stay her again.

2 Adults and 1 very big dog. The area is lovely. The cottage was lovely. Very clean and well maintained. The owners were very nice and very helpful. Got everything that we needed. We did find it a bit cold in the front room but as we were only in it in the evening it wasn't too noticeable. Plenty of walks for the dog. Thank you

On web site said there was a butcher's near by but when we got there found out it had closed down (bit disappointed as was looking forward to trying it out ) so that needs to be altered. Nice pub down the road but need to book at the weekend as it gets very busy. Great areas for walking the dog. Would go back again.

  • "The cottage is very cosy, but the shower cubicle is very small which was a bit of a problem for us, but we managed."

The cooker hob needs to be checked out, it took just over 30mins to cook 4 sausages!! Fortunately we had all our main meals in the different places we visited & the great pub across the road. Apart from those couple of things we were very comfortable.

Thank you for your feedback. A new induction hob has put in the property after this booking. Property Owner

  • "Comfortable and relaxing holiday cottage."

Shower cubicle a bit snug. Very well equipped kitchen. The bedroom is a beautifully decorated haven of peace. Foxhounds bar and restaurant two minutes walk away, dog friendly, good food, large portions. Excellent value for money! Lovely tea room over the road. Contrary to the cottage information, Morrison's supermarket is more than five minutes away, more like twenty, not signposted and hidden on an industrial estate. More detailed directions required. Overall an exceptional place to stay, well positioned for the coastal attractions North Yorkshire has to offer.

Thank you for your feedback. Morrison's supermarket is 4 miles away and on a bypass so should you 5 minutes from the property. Property Owner

The 'welcome pack' of scones, cream and jam was, indeed, highly welcome, and delicious. Fresh milk, coffee and tea was also provided. Though the cottage fronts onto the road the rear garden is ideal for sitting out in the sun (when there is any!) and has comfortable chairs and a table. There is private parking behind the garden close to the cottage. Thoroughly recommended.
