“Lovely apartment in a beautiful location.”

Due to Corona we couldn’t get into the local restaurants and couldn’t even get a cuppa in Whitby as it was raining throughout our stay, and everyone else had the same idea (only limited numbers allowed in). Thankfully we had a fabulous base and we had a great time anyway - would definitely return when we have some better weather. Host was great, happy with communication and level of service providers for this property. Would definitely recommend.

The property

A stylish contemporary apartment spitting distance from the beautiful clean beach at Sandsend just 2 miles out of the historic harbour town of Whitby.

The living area is open plan with a very well-equipped kitchen, dining area and comfortable sitting area.

The real star attraction of this room however is the double French doors which open out to a Juliet balcony offering stunning uninterrupted views of the beach and sea from the third-floor elevated position.

It’s a fabulous place to enjoy an evening meal or snuggle up to watch a movie together but you might be tempted just to sit and enjoy the delightful soundscape of waves crashing on to the beach less than 30 metres away.

There are two double bedrooms and a very luxurious shower room making for a very relaxing break.

You could choose to explore the area by car with Staithes, Saltburn, Runswick Bay and Robin Hoods Bay all being a very easy short drive away.

However you could just walk along the golden sands into Whitby.

There are nice pubs and restaurants very near the apartment and there is even a surf school should you wish to take to the waves.

The perfect place to be as active or as lazy as you wish whenever you go.

About the location

SANDSEND

Whitby 2.5 miles.

Lying on Yorkshire's spectacular Heritage Coastline, Sandsend is the ideal place for a family holiday with its award winning, wide sweeping beaches, rock pools and dramatic cliffs. Indeed this part of the coastline is known locally as the Dinosaur Coast because of the many fossils found here. In the season, beachside stalls offer everything from light snacks and drinks to boats, buckets and spades! Children will enjoy damming the little beck where it crosses the beach to form a freshwater lagoon - great (and safe) for paddling and boating! For the more energetic the village sits on the lovely long distance Cleveland Way Trail, which offers great off-road cycling along the disused coastal railway as well as breathtaking clifftop walks. The National Trust now own the nearby headland, Sandsend Ness, where there is a delightful nature trail in the old quarry pits. A special place with something for everyone!
