  • “As you are aware we did discuss some reservations as to the overall cleanliness at Shore View and we did send along a series of images to validate the points made.”

Didn't particularly spoil the holiday but I feel it is important that both your company and more importantly the owners of the property are aware of the situation Basically surfaces above eye level and anywhere that there was a void at ground level had not been touched (and for some considerable time) Nice convenient location but the above cleaning issues did impact upon our enjoyment of the holiday. Kind Regards, Tony Airey

The property

The fabulous ‘living kitchen’ and dining area is situated on the Lower Ground floor with a wonderful view of the beach and sea.

It is a well-equipped, Shaker-style kitchen with plenty of storage space, granite work surfaces, quality appliances including a Smeg range oven and hob, Smeg fridge/freezer and Neff dishwasher.

The dining area comfortably seats six, there’s an L-shaped sofa and LCD flat screen TV to sit and relax.

On the ground floor, the superb sitting room has bay windows with window seats offering breath-taking sea and beach views plus there is a LCD Flat screen TV with Sky and a wood burning stove-style gas fire.

A sliding door opens onto a wonderful balcony and sun deck with infinity windbreak balustrade and wicker-style furniture. There is a double bedroom on the ground floor with wonderful views of the sea, an immaculate en-suite shower room with a large shower, WC and hand wash basin. On the first floor, the master bedroom has stunning sea views and a vaulted, beamed ceiling plus a comfortable king-size bed plus a large en-suite shower room that has a double size shower, WC and hand wash basin. About the location

Whitby 2.5 miles.

Lying on Yorkshire's spectacular Heritage Coastline, Sandsend is the ideal place for a family holiday with its award winning, wide sweeping beaches, rock pools and dramatic cliffs. Indeed this part of the coastline is known locally as the Dinosaur Coast because of the many fossils found here. In the season, beachside stalls offer everything from light snacks and drinks to boats, buckets and spades! Children will enjoy damming the little beck where it crosses the beach to form a freshwater lagoon - great (and safe) for paddling and boating! For the more energetic the village sits on the lovely long distance Cleveland Way Trail, which offers great off-road cycling along the disused coastal railway as well as breathtaking clifftop walks. The National Trust now own the nearby headland, Sandsend Ness, where there is a delightful nature trail in the old quarry pits. A special place with something for everyone!

Wi-Fi: Free Wi-Fi included. Note: There is underfloor heating throughout.
