  • "Lovely place really enjoyed our stay."

The home is beautiful. Definitely think you need to reconsider the check in and check out times. 3pm/4pm check in and 11am check out is more reasonable which is what other similar properties have. Would rate it 5 stars if the times were more reasonable. Everything else was amazing

Quiet location in national park village with views across open countryside. Well kept and equipped - thank you for a great stay.

  • "Clean spacious accommodation - very good for a family get together."

However, house was cold when we arrived at 7.00 p.m. on a very cold day (central heating was turned off) and it took us all evening to warm the place through, not helped because there were no firelighters to start the woodburner. (the information indicated that they should have been available). Disappointingly the snooker table was unplayable (not flat), possibly due to damp in the conservatory. Sofas in the open plan area were uncomfortable (due to lots of wear) but the beds were very comfortable! Definitely on the plus side we were very grateful for lots of hand soap, toilet rolls, super fluffy towels and a lovely welcome pack (thank you)! Overall we would strongly recommend the property and would consider booking it again in the future.

  • "A lovely spacious cottage with supercomfortable beds and spotless white high quality bedlinen with lovely fluffy towels."

Situated in a small hamlet with plenty of lovely walks nearby including the Cleveland Way and Lordstones country park. The village pub was just a couple of minutes away. Obviously has been decorated recently with new carpets . It has two separate reception rooms, each with two seater sofas although as a larger group we would have appreciated having some more comfy chairs that could have allowed us all to sit together. The dining area seats eight although the cottage could potentially sleep more. The garden is mostly lawn , neat and tidy with goal posts and a wooden picnic bench. More relaxing seating would have been useful, as we were lucky with beautiful weather for March and the garden was such a little suntrap. Overall a lovely comfortable spacious cottage set in a beautiful location that is easily accessible for exploring the North Yorkshire Moors or coastline.

  • "Lovely comfortable house, had a lovely weekend stay, was a perfect place for a family/friends get together."

So much so we are thinking about planning going back next year! Lots to do in the area and some lovely villages. The local pub the sutton arms is very close and does lovely food. Had an absolutely wonderful 60th birthday get together.

  • "Wonderful property, beautiful facilities and lovely and clean."

Small details like the new fluffy towels and the well stocked kitchen made all the difference to a great stay. The property has plenty of parking and good outdoor space. The location is great, not difficult to find and there is a lovely country park not too far away for a nice walk. Would definitely recommend, thanks for a lovely stay.

  • "We had a lovely stay at tigh ur."

The cottage was spotless on arrival and had everything we needed, we were very happy. The only feedback we would give us that on arrival it was pitch black and we struggled to find the key safe. A TV in the kitchen area would be nice as there is not enough seating in the living room for all guests. None of this spoiled our stay and we would happily return. Thank you so much.

  • "This was a perfect location to meet with another family for a great holiday."

The house really was home from home with many well thought out touches. Anna was friendly and nothing was too much when we needed her. She has considered the needs of both adults and children. The welcome hamper was a lovely surprise too.

  • "Quiet village surrounds with a local pub serving great food."

National Park location meant easy access to many fine walks. Good access to other locations; we visited the RN Museum, HMS Trincomilee in Hartlepool and the Bowes Museum in Castle Barnard.
