• "Lovely, very well equipped property in an excellent location."

  Everything you could need in the kitchen, beautifully furnished and we highly recommend this property. Just be aware if you are arriving when the food festival is on, which is opposite the property as on arrival we had to park about half a mile away! After that, parking was no problem. Our only issue was the TV. It had no BBC channels at all due to the non HD signal having been turned off in January. We contacted the owners who came round straightaway and tried to sort but being the Easter weekend they could only get someone to sort it on the Wed at the earliest. They were very apologetic and we left it at that. However it was disappointing later on to find out that the same problem was flagged on here in January, obviously when the non HD channels had just been turned off. The reply to that comment was that it had been sorted when it clearly hadn't! It is done now for future visitors but was just a shame it hadn't been sorted before now. Despite this minor glitch, we had a great week in a fabulous property and would return again!

The glitch with the BBC channel on the TV had previously been reported to us but the guest told us that the issue appeared to have resolved itself. We are sorry you had this issue but we have, as you know ,now permanently fixed the problem by purchasing a new free view box and also installing a new satellite dish outside. • "The Garden Apartment is spacious and stylish."

  Stepping into the kitchen from the January chill we always felt comfortable and warm. The place was spotless and well equipped. Location could not be bettered as it sits on a corner two minutes from the beach and two minutes from the town centre. Filey in January is quiet (suits us!) and as the weather was quite good for that time of the year we were able take long walks on an almost deserted beach. We visited Scarbrough andf Bridlington but would also recommened Flamborough Head (watch the seals!) Humnaby (neat little village) and especially Cayton Bay. The Garden Apartment is definatley five star ..... but, what is the deal with the TV? Dont know if the owners are aware but the Sky box no longer supports any BBC station. The Sky remote works when it wants (we even changed the batteries). Why not buy a freeview box and chanel TV through the Wi-Fi? Having said which there were a number of DVD's on site and thanks to Fileys charity shops we added to the collection!

• "The apartment was in a great location and well equipped."

  The only downside to the apartment was that it was quite damp especially the master bedroom. There were also many yellow stains on this carpet which could have been cleaned out.

We look forward very much to seeing you again next August. We have arranged to upgrade the bedroom carpet. There was a minor leak from the bathroom in the upper floor flat. This has now been fixed and the small stain will be decorated once it dries out. Since we wrote this response the flat has had new carpets laid all through and has also been redecorated throughout. • "The property was in a superb location - only a few minutes walk from anywhere we could possibly want to go."

• "A lovely airy and spacious flat, ideally located, just across the road from the public gardens overlooking the sea, and steps down to the sea front."

  A couple of minutes from the town centre, and five minutes from Tesco and the railway station.We really felt comfortable for our week's stay, and are seriously planning to return next year.

• "Lovely spacious apartment."

  Central to town centre. No welcome pack, ie tea, milk, and other basics. Cheapest toilet rolls ever and no spare. Bead knife and others blunt. Operating cooker without instructions a bit of a puzzle. If you don't bring anything can't have a cup of tea and need go shopping.

• "The apartment was fantastic, we had a great holiday, all the amenities were within 10 minutes walking distance."

  There was no need to use the car once we had arrived and unpacked, parking was easy and if you cannot park close upon your arrival then keep watching for a space to open we managed to park outside the gate

• "We have been in numerous holiday properties and we can honestly say th Garden apartment is certainly one of the the best if not the best one we have ever stayed in."

  It extremely well maintained , clean and tidy. as well as extremely comfortable to live in.The kitchen had everything we needed and the pots, pans, plates, mugs and cooking equipment were in excellent condition.Overall it was a pleasure to stay there. Anther major factor was the location . The apartment was in easy reach of the shops restaurant s and coffee shops,.Also being near the seafront with a great view from the park of the sea.We have decided to book the apartment again because we have enjoyed it so much. • "We had a fabulous few days staying in the Garden Apartment."

  The accommodation was spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. The location is perfect for long walks on the beach and just around the corner from all the shops, restaurants and cafes. There is unrestricted parking outside and just across the road are the beautiful Crescent Gardens which are immaculate and have the best view to enjoy while eating fish and chips!

• "We stayed here on Sat 29th of October for a week ."

  This apartment was absolutely perfect , spotlessly clean , warm , comfortable and in an ideal situation. The lounge was extremely spacious with really lovely comfortable furniture and the bedrooms were perfect with great quality bedding and a great en suite. Overall , this holiday home made our break really great , it’s opposite a beautiful park ,literally five minutes from the beach ( which was a joy for our two dogs ) and around the corner from shops , pubs and cafes . We would not hesitate to recommend the Garden Apartment , although we were temped to keep it secret . We will be back asap .

• "Second time at this lovely, spacious and really well equipped apartment."

  Power shower and jacuzzi bath are excellent as is the WiFi. It's so well placed for access to the town( around the corner) , the beach ( across the park) and access to cliff walks etc . Parking is free on side streets . Filey is just lovely in any event and this apartment is ideally situated to make the best of it without having to drive and park etc.

• "The apartment inside was fine, warm , comfortable and as expected , it had all we needed , fabulous location and would recommend but good be improved with the following updates."

  The outside area needs attention (weekly in my opinion), it needs sweeping weekly( not done in along time ) , patio area needs tidying up and good be so much prettier to sit in & look at , windows outside need cleaning desperately and paint work cleaning down at least once a month. The information on the apartment needs looking at ASAP , much of it is out of date and goes back at least 10 years or more, needs organising into files so its easy to find ,read. We tried to contact the owners got no reply & Sykes too , the lady was helpful & we got standard email back to confirm our/ query call , but again no reply from owners or follow up from Sykes whilst we were there. There is list of people to contact in one of the files , we tried 2 numbers & left messages no one got back to us . The 3rd lady did answer but she was shocked to find out her number was still listed as she no longer works for these people , she also told me that the other numbers i had tried did not either. ( so out of date ) . Wifi code on back of router but its so tiny to read , why not just include in Welcome Pack so its easy to read and on hand . Finally the info on rubbish removal is so poor , listed on 2 stickers and stuck on the local info file . Recycle ?? told to use the council waste bins across the road , no info on glass bottles . Was really disappointed in this as i like to do my bit

We've bought a new set of patio furniture and we have now employed someody to attend weekly and attend to the flowers and sweep the outside areas. • "There was no QR code on arrival No window key to open windows for fresh air in main bedroom."

  Kettle not sanitised needed de scaling boiled water in a pan as very dirty inside. No pillow protectors on pillows. Linen on bed very scratchy and low quality. Very stuffy and stale inside lack of fresh air and not been aired. Outside area dirty and dusty. Front door not secure only one lock and half glass didn’t feel safe as one lady on own in property.

  It is brilliantly positioned for access to all the town shops literally within 300metres and supermarket within half a mile. So close that I didn't use the car which was parked free next to the he apartment The apartment is large, open , very comfortable. spotless and we'll equipped. Really lovely place. Watch your noggin on the bedroom lights if your 6'4".! Filey is glorious . The beach, gardens and cliff walks are all instantly accessible from this apartment. ...and they are all immaculately maintained. Enjoyed it so much I've booked it again

• "The apartment is very well appointed offering fabulous decor, with a comfortable and homely feel."

  Together with its position around middle of the bay and across the road a very well kept park before a drop to the see front offering wonderful views, As a couple just in out retirement this gave us the opportunity for long walks and great facilities close to hand. They apartment being dog friendly we enjoyed our stay so much we have rebooked for next year
